Lasts 4+ years
It has lasted 4+ years and opens multiple cans a week. The grip fits well in my petite women’s hands. Great value and quality of product. Opens the can smoothly. Looks modern. Easy to use. Functions well after several hand washings. I have not put it in the dishwasher as can openers always seem to rust after I do this.

Good can opener for the money
I replaced an older Faberware can opener and am not disappointed. The new one cuts through can tops like butter. Now if i can only keep it from rusting and getting dull. The wheels seem to be made of regular steel, which rusts. The bars appear to be stainless steel, but the wheels are not. Oh Well!

Works
This is so much better than traditional can openers. No sharp edges and the top wont fall into the can. Hopefully it doesn't rust over time.

Do I have to give it a star? It doesn't work.
I thought, "This is by Faberware, an established company that must know how to make a can opener." Well, apparently the junior engineer that designed the product didn't know what he was doing, and his supervisor was on vacation when the product design was reviewed in CAD, so he must have rubber stamped the design (because the wheel that cuts the can isn't close enough to the gears that hold the can). Then the quality engineer didn't bother to prototype the device, he just plumb forgot and okayed it for production. And the head of engineering and product development was nearing retirement, because somehow the product was green lighted to go to manufacturing without basic checks to the design. Then, once the product was manufactured, no one bothered to take the first unit off the assembly line to test it on a can. Or if they did, they didn't care enough about the Faberware brand to adjust the design. Maybe they had a lot of sunk costs that they thought would miraculously turn into a good investment in a product that works. But that story book fairytale was never to be. And so, the purchasers of this product are left holding a non functional can opener that was a waste of money, materials and energy. ......Upon review, I also have a Faberware knife that doesn't cut straight. I keep forgetting to not use it on fruit. ....I had never checked the brand. But sure enough, it's a Faberware too. I almost want to go out and buy other Faberware products just to test them. But I'll leave that to another enterprising soul.

Maybe I am weak
Do these work? For me - 50% of the time. I cut myself so bad trying to pry a stupid can open after these failed that I had to super glue my hand shut. My fiance says he has no problem with them so maybe I’m just super weak. They might work for you if you are able to hold them close really tight on whatever you’re opening. If you have to ask your husband to open a lot of jars, these probably aren’t for you.
