An excellent tool for learning or pleasure; I'll buy them again and again...
Not only are these fun and entertaining for younger children, and very robust as well, but practical for older ones as well. I teach a flight science class for talented youths and they not only enjoyed building, decorating, and flying them, but by warping the wings could observe the effect on the flight path of the aircraft.Made of robust foam, they are safe to fly indoors, but robust enough to use outside as well; and will more likely be lost or misplaced than ever broken, unless intentionally abused. And, not only do my students love them but so does my two year old son as well! While I didn't allow him unsupervised access to the markers and stickers that come with the kit, once assembled he can safely, and freely, use the airplanes as he wishes. And the original box of 5 I bought him have lasted 5 months now! While I have one box in reserve for him, and have given them as gifts to friends and relatives, I will certainly use them again as a teaching aid.My one complaint was a 40% increase in the price between my purchases in the summer of 2013, and the late fall of the same year (from approximately $8 to $13), but in the intervening period I also saw them marketed to office workers in packs of 2, so I presume that they've become a favorite of the cubicle set; something that doesn't surprise me...

These are GREAT
I have a 2.5 YO boy that is completely obsessed with anything that flies. I myself enjoy various R/C helicopters and love to go to air shows, so maybe it's in the blood.I have also bought more than a few toy planes over the years that fly - either the rubber band ones, foam core ones, paper, you name it, I've probably tried it.This unassuming pack of foam planes, however, completely took me by surprise with a few things:1. How well they fly - sooo many prior planes I have bought were just TERRIBLE flyers...not so here. These things GO like Superman if you find the right grip.2. How durable they are. This is not the breakable foam you see on so many other planes, that white, styrofoam stuff that lasts a couple of weeks at best...this is MUCH denser materials, almost like a lightweight rubber (they may be rubber in fact, no idea), that gives them incredible resilience.3. They are FUN...my other two kids, both older girls, have never paid much attention to my avionic interests, but when I got all the planes out of the package and started throwing them around the house, they played with them for a LONG time, and for days afterwards as well.Just felt I needed to give some feedback here for anyone looking for a GREAT inexpensive toy, that doesn't have an on/off switch, and will engage your kids for hours. Highly, highly recommended.

Great for what they are
Fun little planes! They are incredibly durable and easy to fly. My only complaint is the stickers that come with them to decorate the planes don't stick very well to the foam.

So Much Fun!
The kids got radio control stuff this year. That is what they asked for and what they were excited to get. The foam planes were just kind of an extra. My husband found them and bought them. These are such a hit with the kids. They really enjoyed the r/c stuff but those things had to charge frequently or they ran out of batteries. So while the helicopter was charging for 15-20 minutes (it only lasted 5 min. at a time and then needed charging again) they would play with these. These stunt squadron planes are very easy to put together and the kids can customize them with stickers. They are also very durable. Lots of playing and throwing and still doing great. My husband and I even got into the fun by throwing them to each other across the den or throwing them to the kids. Big hit. I just did not expect it. It was a happy surprise. I am so impressed that I came to amazon to order a few to put back for B-day presents for other kids. I think boys and girls could have fun with these. I have two boys though. I like the material they are made of and they fly well too.

One of the best durable planes we've owned.
Everyone keeps asking us where we got these. They are fantastic! Ditto what everyone else says however, the stickers don't stick, the included markers just slip off the airplane, so my kids mostly just got it all over their hands. Not even sure the markers are washable, I looked all over the packaging and it didn't say. I didn't let me little guy play with them, and my older son had really dark marker hands. We went swimming after so it all came off. Thankfully he didn't get any on his clothes. I'm really not positive you could get it out of clothes. I threw them out. The airplanes themselves are fairly awesome and really fly! That's the comment we keep getting. The only thing that irritate me is the wings come loose after awhile and slip out, so you're having to tuck them back in or straighten them every now and then. Wish it was one solid unit, but it does allow you to mix and match wing colors for personalization.

Great Gift!
Durable and so much fun. The planes hold up very well over time. Soft enough to be used indoors and sturdy enough to fly outdoors. This is our go-to gift for kids ages 5-10.

Surpassed Expectations.
Survived day one. Quite a big deal when dealing with a 2 & 5 year old at the pilot seat. We all loved the product. Fly surprisingly very well. Stickers don’t hold very well, but we broke out the metallic sharpies. Wow what a difference. Would totally recommend. I’m usually surprised if things like this last more than a day, here we are a week later and they’re still flying.

They Really Fly Well
Just a simple great toy for kids age 3 and up. My grandkids played withthem for more than an hour the first time and had a great time learning tothrow them. They are made of foam but an adult should held assemble them jut so thefoam is not broken. The light weight of the planes make them safe for in houseflying as well as outside. The foam planes take a fairly good beating. Most surprising, they fly very well. Once the kids get the hang of it, it's easy to fly them 25 to50 feet. The loops and turns are surprising fun when they happen. The decals are not worth much but the pens work fine and are evenwashable to an extent.I am ordering a second set as a backup.Again tisis a niucesikmpe toyt that actually works.
