Men's Wool Blend Peacoat – Double-Breasted Winter Coat, Regular, Big & Tall Sizes

While researching pea coats, this one by Nautica came up with good reviews on several sites so I decided to take a chance at the $80 price range plus the fact that it was a slim fit coat. The coat is very nice. It is a slim fit and I love how it fits me. I did have to size DOWN. I am 6' and 175 lbs and normally take a large in all of my coats but took a MEDIUM in this coat. Some reviewers noted that the jacket was "itchy" and not warm but I did not experience any itchiness and the jacket, while not a winter parka, was warmer than expected. I receive many compliments on it when I am wearing it. Minor issues is the weird strip of fabric behind the collar that other reviewers mentioned and I noticed that the material may pick up lint more than normal but nothing that a good lint roller can handle.

We bought this coat for our 24 year old son as a Christmas gift. He absolutely loves it. It came on a hanger, which was nice, and aside from cutting a few stray threads around the zipper area (I highly recommend that you inspect the zipper area carefully to avoid derailing) I was happy with the quality, weight and construction of the product. This coat isn't wool or even a wool blend. I knew that going into the purchase. We live in a climate that isn't extremely cold but we do have some cold damp days. It is perfect for our weather. Even though it is made of polyester it still requires dry cleaning according to the label. I suspect that is because of the nylon lining. Be advised of the dry clean only requirement prior to purchase. Most coats this style will require dry cleaning so this didn't affect our decision to purchase it. One of the great features of this coat is that along with the four outer pockets there are two additional inside pockets, too. The pockets are roomy which comes in handy with the larger phones people use these days. Yes, our son has one and was happy about the extra pockets. The zipper, although not metal, worked well once I removed a few stray strings. I can't attest to how long it will hold up because I'm doubtful that it'll see much use. The toggles, which are a nice feature, and give this coat a classy more expensive look, work really well. They are sturdy and will hold up well as will the hood which serves it's purpose on rainy days and our rare days of snow. I don't know about the other colors but the charcoal is working out well for our son. His prior navy colored coat was a magnet for lint and dog hair. I always felt tempted to run a lint brush across it and sometimes gave in to the temptation. Not so with this color. Every time that we've seen him he's had it on and it always looks neat and free of fur. I wasn't sure what to expect with this coat, which I purchased on a deal of the day, but it certainly met our expectations. We've bought other items of clothing made by Nautica and have always been happy with them. This coat is no exception. It had a few little details including piping on the pockets, the two-toned toggles, and other stitching that gave it a classy look. For the price, it was probably one of the best deals that we picked up during the holiday season. I highly recommend it. Even at the price of $109 which it is currently being offered at it's a good value.

I'm 6'1, 155 pounds, with 72" reach, the sleeve length fits good, the waist is big on me and needs to be tailored, it's warm and quality, inside pockets too.

I would normally wear a size L in a jacket. But I read reviews here on Amazon about L being bigger than expected. I wanted a form-fitting peacoat, so ordered size M. It fit just as I hoped, with good sleeve length. I'm 6' tall and 195 pounds, with a 34" waist. I couldn't wear a bulky sweater under the coat, but that's no problem. I wear a short-sleeve athletic shirt or a thin cotton sweater, sometimes with a polyester scarf (a wool scarf would be too warm). The wool blend of the coat is great--soft, smooth texture and VERY toasty. Don't size down to a M as I did if you're any larger than I am and if you don't want to be "hugged" by the coat. Go with a L if you want to wear anything more than a thin layer underneath.

Well-made, stylish pea coat. I got the Charcoal color in a medium size. Perfect fit for me @ 5’9", 148 lb. Lots of nice, warm scarves are available to complete the ‘look’. Great deal on that color too!

The overall quality seemed very good. The stitching was good, and the material felt appropriately thick. I am usually a medium in all clothing, and I prefer fitted shirts. This jacket was far too big, even if allowing extra space for layers in cold weather. The shoulder lines were around 1-2" wider than I expected. I exchanged the item for a small. My usual chest size is 38.5-39 in suits

I'm in college, an accounting major, and dress the part for class. This is classy, fits well, and I have gotten many compliments from strangers and friends alike. I work out consistently and swim, and as such have pretty big shoulders. I can notice by the cut, when it is all buttoned up it is difficult to sometimes lift my bookbag without straining a little bit. This happens with most jackets, especially heavy ones. The value on here was incredible! I am on a budget, and only having to drop $50 on a pea coat instead of $100+ was a big deal, I don't like sacrificing quality, and thanks to amazon I didn't have to! I like the charcoal because it can go with both Navy and black. Great product! Would buy again!

Overall the quality seems pretty good in terms of fabric used and the way it was stitched together. It's not for wild winter winds or severe weather to be sure, but it seems like it should do in all but the most northern climes of the US. However, this jacket hasn't been worn yet, so I can't speak to the overall durability. The cons were: > The sizing for Medium seemed off - sure it's a trim fit, but the arms and shoulders were too tight such that my husband could not move his arms comfortably. > Some buttons were sewed on every which way but right-side up. I should think the manufacturer should pay a tad more attention to detail if they're even "suggesting" the regular price that's indicated. UPDATE: The Large we received had a large pill/bump/twisted thread on the sleeve, basically a flaw in the wool flannel - and I think this time only one of the buttons was right-side-up. (C'mon, Nautica, they're anchor buttons, couldn't you even TRY to get them stitched right?) So once again we've ordered another replacement... I'll update again after we check that one out - and maybe my husband will finally get to it out of the house this time.

Me gusta tanto este abrigo que lo uso poco para evitar mancharlo o maltratarlo. Es muy caliente, elegante y apto para las temporadas de frío. Sin embargo, no es tan voluminoso o estorboso como otros abrigos. Lo compré en mediano y me quedó bien (mido 1.73m, peso aprox. 80 kgs.) pero quizá en talla chica me hubiera quedado bien también. Depende qué tan ajustado lo quieras: si quieres corte fit, pide talla chica. Si quieres corte regular, ve por la talla mediana.

Nice, warm quality coat in camel colour at a very attractive price. My size is M, 40 UK, 50 European. Ordered M and was a perfect fit.
