If you've got a need for a simple, plug and play, 8 port gigabit switch that plays well with others (is compatible), is easy to setup, has good blinky lights, with a port capacity at a price point usually reserved for 4 ports or less this little guy is awesome. I use these a lot in IoT edge cases and have not had any compatibility issues with the uplink or the end stations. Plus, it looks cool and is quiet.

I consider myself reasonably tech-savvy but anybody could hook this thing up. I never looked at the instructions. Unplugged my internet router, turned off the TV and computer (probably didn't even have to do that), plugged everything else I wanted wired into the switch (3 devices), and turned everything on. Perfection. Wireless unaffected. Even the infamously godawful, always-buffering LG Apps and Web OS appear to be functioning better than normal. 500 mbs sustained and sometimes faster speeds on the computer (I'm paying for 300). At this price this little switch is an outrageous deal. Another reviewer mentioned the lack of grippy "feet" on the very lightweight unit and that is somewhat of an issue. But at that price, and not having a premium piece of furniture underneath my stuff I had no problem sticking a couple of small pieces of two-sided tape on the bottom of the switch; problem solved for me.

It’s good. No lost speed. I do suggest getting some of that thick double sided tape or 3m strips or whatever if you’ll mount it on a desktop

Setup and forgot it. It does it job so well I for it is there. I need to give it a restart. It's compact enought to mount anywhere and out of sight. Super easy to use. I use it in my entertainment stand for all the games TV and computer in there.

8 ports easy hookup,works great hard to find anything not to like.
