these are easier to put on, nice band at top to keep up, sturdier... hose so no snags etc.... bought a pair for 2 hip surgeries, very well designed!

Great!
I’m a nurse who just had hip Labral repair surgery. I understand the importance of anti embolism stockings. I was sent home wearing a pair but wanted a second pair so I could wash them out. After careful review I chose these and they have not disappointed. The sizing was perfect based on measurements. They are snug, but went on fairly easily. (Support hose should never go on super easily) I’m not sure I love the silicone band, but it’s easily folded over and they stay up if sized correctly. They come up higher than the hospital issued ones, which is good. Those were just above my knees, these are mid thigh. They also stay over my toes better, I have 9.5 size feet. Im wearing grip socks over them.

Size up
They are tight and the elastic digs in if pulled up too high...I'd probably have a better fit if I sized up 1 size. Altogether, they good quality and decently comfortable if pulled down. I hope they help with veins and lack of exercise :)

One major difference with actual T.E.D. Stockings
I bought these because I could not find Cardinal Health T.E.D. Stockings anywhere locally or online. First the positives:1) the material is sturdy and not easily snagged2) compression was very similar to the T.E.D. Hose provided at the hospital3) Machine washed on cold and delicate and no shrinkage4) They were nice and longNow the negatives1) the upper elastic band runs entirely around the top of the thigh (see photo) and there are non-slip rubber dots on the elastic. At the end of the first day wearing left deep indents and abrasion marks. The Cardinal health TED stockings only have elastic that goes about 2/3 of the way around with a non elasticized part at the inner thigh for comfort. The full elastic band was painful so did not try to use them again.2) there is a green band around the ankles, not sure why. It’s not that big a deal since white hose aren’t any kind of fashion statement, but it is a different appearance.

If you have to wear them...
These are way better than the flimsy stockings you get in the hospital or pharmacy! If you have to wear them for a while these stand up to many many washings and wearings. They have reinforced heels and an ankle-positioning circle. They are very thick and strong. I bought them in white and in the tan. I highly recommend.

Too small
My doctor recommended wearing a TED sock try try to help with the swelling of one of my feet following a motor vehicle accident. After measuring my swollen foot I ordered a size M based on the chart provided. When it arrived I thought it seemed really small, so I wanted to try putting it on my good, non-injured foot first, before attempting the injured side, since my injured foot has two fractured bones and is swollen to the point of looking like a sausage. Even following the supplied directions, my wife was unable to get it on my non-swollen foot, and she was really having to work at it. There’s was no way I was going to attempt trying to put it on my injured foot as a result. I returned the sick and ordered a size L, thinking that would work. However, the result was the same, as it was still too small.
