Tomshine Outdoor Globe String Lights Mains Powered 25FT G40 Bulbs Festoon Lights for Garden Patio (25 Bulbs+ 3 Spare Bulbs) Warm White

I hard wired the lights into my patio lights to easily switch on and off. Only downside is the very short lead from plug to first connector. Recommend buying the extended lead as I did.Very pleased with the amount of warm white the bulbs give and fantastic value for money.

Lights arrived well packaged with what seemed a generous amount of spare bulbs (3) and replacement fuses (2 x 2A). Tried in the box and they all worked fine. Took them (carefully) out the box and plugged them into the socket (inside) and they fused. Replaced the fuse and found two bulbs stopped working. Have ever do carefully laid them on the cabinet until I can work out how to securely fit them to the roof of the conservatory. Bought two sets to go outside but it’s clear these are too delicate for wind etc so will use them indoors. Sadly though, I’m already going to have to buy a set of replacement bulbs … not what I expected sadly. Once on, the do look fabulous however, be gentle as they are super delicate!

These lights look great and are really bright compared with similar ones I had previously purchased.I had promised my daughter I would get her some lights for in her bedroom, she has had LED lights but wanted these bulb types which I must admit look really good even in daylight; but in the dark they look even better.They are mains operated so you would need a power point if you want them in the garden. The bulbs are a delicate glass which once they are hung up should be fine but thankfully we are given three spare bulbs, just in case. Before plugging in I checked all the bulbs were tightly screwed in and then she draped the lights across two walls in her bedroom.I think they would look fabulous in the garden if we were having a party/barbecue and I see it is possible to attach another set onto them to cover a larger area. The cables are strong and the light fittings safe and made to last; for outdoor use I think I would need an extension lead but I usually do for most of my outdoor electrical products. The bulbs are smaller than standard light bulbs but still really bright, which we both like.However, bought for indoor use and my daughter is delighted with them. She says they emit enough light for when she wants to read or watch TV in her bedroom and loves the look of them, so I am really pleased.Good quality and price; made to last.

Despite the negative reviews I bought 2 sets. I completely agree that the cable from plug to first globe is too short, I am lucky to have a plug right next to a window (even so, my first globe is inside!) I am still very happy with these lights. My neighbour has had hers for 2 months and still going strong and I've had mine for 10 days. Including rain. If one globe stops working, which it has for me and for my neighbour, just unscrew it a little then screw it back and so far so good. The colour of the lights is beautiful, you can see my small string of solar lights in the photo that aren't nearly as bright as these.

I bought the string lights a little while ago, and only recently put them up in my garden. Approximately four weeks ago. They have performed really really well for the first couple of weeks, and I was thrilled with the beautiful soft glow lighting that they provided in my decking area. I installed the lights in a sheltered area and secured them with pins who they did not blow about too much in any wind. However I have already lost six bulbs within a week of each other. It started off with two, and within a couple of days for more bulbs have gone out. The packaging came with two spare bulbs, so this nowhere near compensate the fact that I have lost six bulbs in total. I have tried to twist the bulbs to see if they had simply become loose, however this has not helped at all. I am therefore disappointed with my purchase, as these string lights have not lived up to the performance I would’ve expected for a string of lights designed for outdoor use. I am very disappointed in my purchase and whilst they are beautiful to look at, they have in no way performed fit for purpose. I would not recommend purchasingThese unless perhaps they were to go under cover or something like that.

Like - Colour warm white really nice, but so bright.Dislike - You get 3 spare bulbs, buying 2 boxes got 6 spare bulbs. So far, 11 bulbs have gone and we have to replace them ! They have already been put up in the garden ! Think about your choice.

I have had to use some extension cables to get the power from the mains plug to the lights. I bought two 3 metres long from Ebay, but neither of them fitted the lamps and the plug, they were just not quite the correct size connectors, even though they looked correct and were cheaper. Then I found that there were some recommended by Amazon, so I have sent for them. Let's hope I have better luck. But the bulbs do work and they have brightened up the garden. Also I had a 20% off voucher from Tomshine which I could not use when I bought another strip of lamps, after joining the superuser group.
