Ghost Stories for Young People

The audio quality is great, but there are 2 issues.Track 10 - "The Helpful Hitchhiker" is missing content at the end.The track should state "He was caught in a rock slide about where your truck is standing... he was killed!Instead, it states "He was caught in a rock slide about where your truck is stan..."The rest of the word "...ding" is found at the beginning the next Track 11 - "Sitting on the Refrigerator."Also, the words "He was killed" at the end of Track 10 is missing completely.I was able to resolve these issues by finding the missing audio on YouTube and re-mixing with audio software.

I had this album when I was a kid and I played it over and over. Now, my 7 year old is enjoying it and I am so glad to be able to share it with her! The stories are just creepy enough without being too over the top. They don't "talk down" to the younger listener which is great because many kid-oriented media can do that these days. I totally recommend this treasure. There will never be another Alfred Hitchcock. He was truly one of a kind.

This is a great item. So many memories for me, especially because my dad use to watch his programs when he had the time. Then my mom and I were at the drugstore and she hesitated at 1st and she bought it for me!! I was 6 yrs old. Although the part about Sam being dead was totally left out in the happy hitchhiker. But oh well. So glad I bought this

I bought the Ghost Stories for Young People on CD to replace the same one I have on vinyl record. I was disappointed though that the sound is not programed correctly. I have to turn my CD player volume on high to hear it. My children have always enjoyed listening to these stories being told by Alfred Hitchcock. I should have ask for a replacement but it was already too close to Halloween so I didn't, my error.

Excellent surprise for those of who had this album as a child. I adore Alfred Hitchcock, everything!!Eccentric personality! Love hearing him again. And now I can even watch the Hitchcock hour again on TV not to mention his great movies on TCM and other stations that maybe play him So glad this was released on CD. Great memories for myself and older sister.

Love this! So happy to find this. As a kid we use to listen to this on vinyl. So worth every penny to take a trip down memory lane! Happy Halloween classic!

I first heard this album in grade school. I loved it. I played the CD for my youngest daughter. She loved it. I highly recommend this classic for anyone looking for an additional Halloween treat this year. It's Hitchcock, what more can I say.
