MouseAssistant software (ver5.2.06) doesn't recognize ring-finger/low speed button- it's completely greyed out. How do I resolve this?

Mouse was working with windows 11 pc. now does not. works in different windows 10 pc. other mice work in windows 11 pc. drivers re-installed. no help.

Which model is the newest version the m-xt2urbk-g or the m-xt3urbk?

The xt2urbk has 5 buttons, where the xt3urbk has a 6th programmable (pinkie/ring finger) button. I personally use the latter for graphics work.

Is the optical sensor closed by glass shield or open through a hole (like Microsoft trackball)?
