The Little Engine That Could
I am deeply saddened that this is unavailable. I purchased this in 2022 and it was the best lighting system for its price and had a Fallout 4 look and style. It was amazing.
A**!
Impressive!
UPDATES: I am so sad this item is not available!! I got 2 back in 2021 and it is now June 2025 and it still works great! Unfortunately I dropped 1 and now I want to buy another one as a back up but it is no longer available. It is the best!! Bring it back please!!>>>>>>I got 2 of these back in June 2021...it's now at the end of Nov 2024 and they still function greatly!! I use these to light up a room where the kitties have their litter boxes. I charge them daily and only use 1 bulb (out of 3 that each comes with) and they are sufficient in lighting up the room adequately (room is 10x10). I am very impressed at how well they've worked and lasted (still do!). Price has gone up a little since 2021 but it is worth the investment since it is solar powered and I don't have to use my electricity. They also double as a flashlight/lamp which is very bright. The ONLY thing I wish it is better is if the solar panel cable is usb so if it goes bad, I can use a different solar panel type to charge it. That versatility would have rounded this product off nicely!

Perfect to start out with!
I was very skeptical at first, but for the money and just getting into these type of things, I wanted to test it out... I mean worst case is... its Amazon right... just send it back if its a failure....I got it on a friday afternoon and plugged it in for about 4 hours, it was almost fully charged by the time I got off work. Took it home for another attempt at more charge for about 1 hour.We went camping and used it for 2 days.Friday night it was not used as we got there late and just setup camp then went to bed. But saturday we put up the solar panel and it instantly started charging, we were able to fully charge 2 cell phones, which dropped it down to 1 bar on power. It sat out that afternoon to recharge via solar panel while we went hiking. Our hiking trip took about 4 hours and when i got back it was almost fully charged. The sun light it was getting was not full sun, as we were in trees where we were camping, but it was enough to get it back up to almost full. That evening / night we charged a kids tablet fully and I believe some small rechargeable lanterns. I left the solar panel hooked up just to see if it would charge once the sun came up Sunday morning. So we got up about 930 sunday morning and there evidently had been enough sun that morning to fully charge the rest of the way.Even though I think that they should swap out the led light output for more usb plugs... ( or add them ) this was not a bad buy and I would suggest to anyone who just needs something simple... it would be a great purchase. Its not going to power a fridge, or anything serious, just keep that in mind.

Just what I wanted
I live on a large property that turns into a 'big dark' at night, and wanted some lights outside that are more substantial than the usual solar lights with tiny panels that die after a few hours. This unit works great, with plenty of light that lasts all night. I have a large solar generator with a big panel, but I wanted something smaller and less expensive just for outdoor lighting. This is perfect.A few things to know:1. The power (blue button) has to be on for it to charge. Sounds simple, but I suspect that some of the 'dead unit' reviews might be from people trying to charge the unit without turning it on.2. This is not a rough and tumble unit that you can throw in a pack. The case is ok, but it is very lightweight and dropping it from a height would be a no-no. It is not designed for backpacking.3. As with all solar, angling the panel toward the sun will charge the unit faster.4. The unit is 84Wh, which isn't a ton of power. It will run the lights and charge small devices, but a usb fan would drain it rapidly.5. The panel can be left out in misty, damp conditions, but the battery box is not waterproof, so keep it dry.If you appreciate it for what it is, this is a great, inexpensive lighting unit for car/ family camping, power outages, sheds etc. The all in one, plug and play design is super simple, and a nice introduction to solar. Just don't expect more from it than what is was designed for.Update 4/14/21-Just a quick update on this unit. I have been using it daily for about 2 months now, and it is still working well. I wish the lights had sensors to turn off at dawn and on at dusk, but this unit wasn't really designed for daily use, so I can't complain much. That said, I am about to order a second one because the first one has worked so well.UPDATE- I have now had this unit for a year, and it is still going strong on solar alone with daily (read: nightly) use. I usually only use one bulb, but that is because I don't always remember to turn it off during the day. Both battery and panel are outside 24/7 (battery protected from rain, but housing gets damp), and they still work just fine. Highly recommend.
