Fanimation Studio Collection LP8406LAZ Pyramid Ceiling Fan
I bought three of these for a new home I'm finishing up. One each for two bedrooms and the game room. Rooms are 15x15.Installation was a breeze. :) The quality is decent. One of the three required balancing.Air movement is pretty good and operation is quiet on high setting. There isn't a huge amount of air movement you can feel on the low or medium settings, but im sure air circulation is still present. The remote works well. There are switches in the controller unit and the remote with 35 possible combinations that allow you to set the fan to a single remote as to not interfere with the other fans. The light output is warm, and less than impressive, but adequate i suppose. The dimmable can light in the game room get much brighter. I will employ a lamp or two on nightstands/desks in the bedrooms. One negative thing I will mention: when you hit the switch on the wall there is a second or two delay before the light comes on. I feel like I will adjust, but it was certainly enough delay to take notice of.Overall, I am happy with the purchase. They look good, move plenty of air quietly and operate smoothly.

Beautiful Ceiling Fan, Easy To Install
i installed this fan over the weekend, and it was pretty easy compared to some I've done in the past. My last fan, the one that this replaced, looked good, but was a pain in the neck to reverse the fan, as the switch to d it was located under two pieces of glass covering the lights. Not small pieces, but pain in the neck pieces that had to be removed one at a time, just to reverse the fan. Don't know who thought of that, but they didn't think very hard. In any event, we loved the look of this fan from the moment we spotted it. All black, with very dark wood look fan blades, which might as well be black. Only light/white part is the cover for the light. This is rated for indoor/outdoor (damp) use, but installed in our family room. It's big at 52", and exactly what we need when summer is here, and it's 110 in the shade here in New Mexico. Straight forward install, with good step by step instructions. This has the option of LED light or a canopy to cover where the light should go. The fan reverse switch is on the LED light panel, and EASY to get to if you desire to reverse the fan direction. Just unscrew the light cover. This entire fan is pretty nice quality, all pieces except for the white light cover, which is plastic. I was really surprised to find a plastic piece here, when the rest of the fan was made with good quality, solid materials. This also has a remote, no chains or strings hanging down (so don't lose the remote), and I always wondered how a remote worked with a fan. It actually just is wired between your power line in from the electrical box and the fan itself, nothing more than that, and easy as pie to wire. It took me about 90 minutes to take the old fan down and put this one together and install it. There is one step that I believe they should have had you do on the ground, and another step I always do on the ground with a ceiling fan. Keep these in mind:1: Remove one of the screw/bolts from the hanging bracket before you install it, and loosen the other about half way. they don't mention this step until they are practically impossible to get to. Doing it way ahead of time will save you some aggravation.2. Install the fan blade brackets to the motor while it's still on the floor. They have you do it while it's in the air. Doing it before you put it up will do nothing to the rest of install other than make this step much easier than trying to screw these on while it's hanging. You practically need 3 hands to do it that way. I learned this one a long time ago, and relates to almost any ceiling fan.The remote is easy to use, and has a dimmer for the light. There are the standard speeds for the fan to spin, and works whisper quiet. This will blow a lot of air at full speed, and probably to much for a smaller room. The room we have it in is 16' x 20', and it's a lot for this room. This sells for $194.27 (as of this review), and maybe a little pricey for some people, but we feel it is well worth it. It is a beautiful looking fan, and the light/no light option is a nice feature if we ever change our minds about it being installed. Removing the light and changing to the canopy cap is a simple two minute process. The one and only thing I would change is that piece of plastic that covers the light, although from the floor, it's hard to tell if it's frosted glass or not. Over the years, we've had several fans in this room, but we're never really happy with the ones we found. This one though, I think will be up there for a while. Love how it looks, and works, and don't think we are going to find anything nicer than this for the money. A great, well made ceiling fan, and well worth the money.

This is super quiet compared to one we replaced with this, can't even hear it on low!
Also this is something that ALWAYS is an issue with us, is it reversible, YES It certainly is!Now for the bad news, IF you plan on putting this waaaay up on a vaulted ceiling you have to remove the light cover to get to the switch to reverse it, yeah, there is that.... Why don't they put that on the remote, I mean really. Other than this we have no issues at all. I was going to put it on a vaulted ceiling but due to the reverse button location we put it in the living room and are getting a different one for the family room high ceiling as we have it heated with a wood stove and need to reverse the blade direction seasonally. And I am taking 1 star off as they say in the listing that it has a frosted "glass light cover", well it is a frosted PLASTIC light cover! Other than that the lights are dimmable, it can be direct wired to a switch for off on function but you still need the remote to change the speeds or dim the light. It will turn the fan on whatever the last setting you had it on. Hope this helps you decide if it is the fan for you. It really circulates tha air nicely and importantly to me, QUIETY!

Modern Farmhouse Ceiling Fan
The media could not be loaded. My partner and stepson hung this ceiling fan up above our backyard lanai. I love the sleek modern design of it. However, I guess it was quite the beast to put up. I wish I had looked at the other reviews before he tried to hang it up himself. The tips in one of the reviews stated what to do in what order, which was different from the instructions that come with the fan. Apparently it's easier if you assemble and hang it up in a different order than specified in the instructions. It took them well over an hour to get it up and working. It looks great, though, now that it's up and spinning. I wish it had a glass cover for the light instead of plastic. Fortunately, it's up so high that hopefully any visitors won't notice this oversight. The fan itself is pretty quiet while spinning at different speeds and comes with a remote that can be mounted to the wall.

Don't like the plastic cover but otherwise...
I have a similar style fan from this same company and really like it; quiet, good looks, easy to install. I figured this would be the same...and it ALMOST is except the light cover is plastic. Why on earth would they cut corners and go with cheap plastic instead of frosted glass like the other is beyond me but it's NOT a good improvement. Aside from the PLASTIC light cover, this is another easy to install DIY project. Very quiet operation, good amount of air movement and the remote is fairly responsive. Overall I've been impressed by this brand - these are still new to me but I like them!
