Recommended by my Opthamologist
My Mom had Macular Degeneration so my Opthamologist recommended that I buy a vitamin made specifically for eyes. There are different ones out there but he said to be sure it said AREDS on the bottle. It stands for Age Related Eye Disease Study. Now you can get it with AREDS 2, which exactly matches the new formula recommended by the National Eye Institute. I'm now 64 and have been on these for at least 5 years and so far so good. I'll use anything if it means it might prevent me from suffering the way my Mom did. She loved reading and I do too but she had to give it up. I don't want to lose my ability to read!

THE ONE TO TAKE
I read that competing products may have the same ingredients, but NOT enough of the ingredients. Article stated this is the ONLY formula that is strong enough!

Worth taking if you have AMD
None of the vitamin supplements will cure macular degeneration but perhaps will help save your remaining vision. I have one good eye left so it's worth the expense. AMD can be treated with injections into the eye which may help a little in some cases.
