You never know what something is going to really be like until you get your hands on it sometimes, and this pin is was like that for me. It's huge! I had a Star Trek pin much like this one years ago, but somewhere along the way I lost it, and it was an appropriate size, from what I remember, until I got this one and took it out of the package. I know it says 2 inches, but you don't really realize how, ahem, big 2 inches is until something like this gives you a different perspective on things. The one I had years ago seemed small compared to this one.Very solid build.Great price.I like that it has 2 pins on the back to secure it in place instead of just one.I recommend this to all my nerdy, geeky Star Trek fan friends :D

As described, looks great also works extremely well with soundboard. Soundboards make the activation signal when the pin is tapped. Can be found on auction sites for about $20. Combined the effect is awesome!

I have done cosplay before the term was coined. The badge exudes quality and where I pinned it may seem a curious choice: on my Seventh Doctor jacket. No one was noticed, but no geeks have seen it yet, only non-geek people. (Of course, what does one expect at a Hunger Games-themed wedding?) My own little giggle.

The price was so right. The quality of the piece brought a tear to my eye. It definitely is in the top 5 items in my star trek collection. I was thinking about buying another so I can ware it at work lol
