The book is as interesting and well written as you can expect, because the subject itself and because the - well known and high ranked - author. The translation to Spanish, not so much, as with other many books.Page 37, first paragraph: ".. llanuras de Anatolia aportaban aceite de oliva, maíz (!?) y vino en abundancia".In English: ".. Anatolia plains delivered abundant olive oil, corn (!?) and wine".This is a translation error: "corn" meanings include "maize" (Spanish "maíz") mostly in US, but also "wheat" (Spanish "trigo") in UK.Corn as in "maíz" didn't enter Europe, from America, until way after Constantinople falling in 1453. In fact, there is a relation between Constantinople and "maíz" since it is an accepted notion that Columbus "discovery" journey was triggered by the Ottoman Empire blocking Western Europe access to Black Sea and Asia riches, once Constantinople fell in Turkish hands.
