I gave it a 4 simply because..to get 5 it would have to be a wonder vitamin (its good dont get me wrong here)................While studying magnesium deficiency, I stumbled upon the connection of taurine to magnesium. The GNC brand seems to be a good bang for the buck. After using taurine for a few months....it has earned a spot in my vitamin tool box. I noticed after a night of drinking like that restless feeling that prevents sleep...........welltaurine seemed to alleviate that. That and the power to stop hangovers? I don't drink much cause I honestly feel like an 83 year old...........But, yeah this seems to be a definite buy from here out.

I use these for my dog and this is the only brand I have used. The tablets are large so I cut them in half, put a bit of peanut butter on my finger and down they go! I don't know how many times I have reordered these but it is often. I have absolutely no information how they are for adults...sorry!

I bought this for my husband, who is going to be needing a new liver. He was getting painful cramps from it. After using this the cramps and pain went away fast.

Looking at the ingredients list, I’m not seeing anything even related to taurine. One ingredient, triacertin, is used to treat topical fungal infections. Another issue is where the pills are manufactured. The only thing listed on the bottle is a statement saying the pills are “distributed by GNC”. No reference to where they are actually made. Considering these two issues, who knows what’s actually in these pills. I ordered them thinking GNC is a trusted brand. I will not be reordering. When it comes to supplements, it’s buyer beware because there is no government oversight for dietary supplements.
