New life for my much-loved scuffed up leather boots
I treated a pair of black leather well-used calf-length Merrell boots (Womens Spire Peak Waterproof Boot) with this paste. The leather was scuffed pretty much all over the lower part covering the foot, and the boots overall look much nicer now. It is hard to see any scuffing unless you look very closely, and the boots look completely even from a couple of feet away - I wish I had taken before and after pics to post. I have taken them out in the snow (just walking around and running errands, not hiking - they are not that kind of boots), and water beaded up on them nicely and the road salt posed no problems for the leather. The paste wax smells quite a bit when you put it on (not like shoe polish-level stink or anything), but then the scent fades away within a day or two. I used an old rag to apply the paste wax and threw it away when I was done. My boots weren't filthy, but neither did I clean them before conditioning them, and it worked great. Definitely money well spent.

Nice
This stuff is great. Put it on a pair of my leather work boots, after cleaning them and water sheds off like a freshly waxed car. Wore the boots out in wet snow and it just fell off, nothing would stick. Only issue was the wax didnt seem to fully dry, i contacted Grangers and they recommended using a hair dryer. It heated up the wax and soaked into the leather and worked great. I had to do all my boots with it. Wearing them around the farm, mud doesn't seem to stick to the boots as much either.

Great Waterproofing, Sticky
Really good stuff. Waterproofing is solid. Very tacky though--boots get wicked dirty. But who cares. They're not ballroom shoes.

Really works
I used it on a piece of wood that I needed waterproofed and it worked perfectly. Water beads and no was stain is left. It is very thick and pasty when applied but a little elbow grease will make it slick. It has a slight tan color when applied.

Perfect for Meindl boots
This is perfect for Meindl hunting/hiking boots. In fact, same ingrediants as the Meindl labeled boot wax in the same type container. Maybe like how White's boots would relable Obenauf's leather protector containers with their brand name White's boots.

Revitalize Your Boots
I bought this with the thought of revitalizing my old boots some, and helping with the "waterproofness". The application was easy, and it only took about 1/2 can to do both my boots. After letting them dry completely after about a day, I was able to wear them once out in wet grass/weeds to test them out with some yard work. My feet stayed dry when they would have usually gotten a little damp. So far so good, and they look years newer too!

Good for resistance not proofing
After original use it was amazing, rubbed into the leather, heated and then added more. Even the sludge I worked in (waste water plant) fell right off..... for about a week. For boots that are submerged in water for about 10 hours a day 5 days a week I have had to put this on every weekend after I clean my boots. By Friday I notice my socks becoming soggy. This is a great repellent, but waterproofing is a bit extreme. I personally would look for something stronger for my job, but I will say on my personal shoes this restored the leather so well that a 3 year old pair of leather boots almost looked new after all the salt and s#** that have been put on them.
