Millionaire Service Advisor

Not what I expected, good read, but left more to be desired.
I would give this a 3.5 out of 5Its not a bad read, but I found the reviews and title a little misleading. It has gold nuggets for sure, and if you're a day 1 in the auto industry, this will definitely help you out. It was a quick read which I appreciated but in all honesty, the main points could have been put in a short pamphlet/brochure. I don't regret my purchase, you WILL get some gold nuggets out of this book, but it leaves you still looking for more nuggets/guidance. To the point where I'm a little wary of paying double for the irreplaceable service manager book he also wrote.

What is a "true" Service Advisor
A system the works. How to a be "true" Service Advisor instead of an order taker. How to build a client base, built around respect and professionalism.

Falls short of what I’d hoped for.
Chris Collins is arguably the number one go-to professional resource for folks in the Service Advisor profession. This book however falls a bit short of where it could, given Chris’ vast knowledge of the industry. It is a short read, only 131 pages - but literally half of it (68 pages) is more of an autobiography of his past experience as a young boy living partially in Mexico & Washington state, playing soccer and drumming in an upcoming band. It should really be 1/2 the price considering the amount of useable material. Yeah, there is the message about not making a difference where you come from and destiny being in your own hands, but better life lessons could have been more clearly outlined instead of lengthy bouts of patting himself on the back. It isn’t until page 69 with the the appropriate tile of chapter 9: “The Training Starts”. Here he begins showing how to connect with customers, raise CSI, present recommendations, and explain why maintenance is important - but only until page 131 where the book comes to an end. There could have been so much more room with industry specific nuance and tips for selling/up selling that are unique to our industry. There is so much more that I was hoping to gain out of this book that I hope he can use his website & YouTube channel to gain material from viewer questions to write a whole new volume 2.

Great insight
This book gives great tips on being a top producing service advisor in sales and CSI. I found it to be not only informative but also entertaining and motivating.

Good read
This book was very enjoyable to read. It's a good length too. I was an advisor for 3 years at two different dealers before I got laid off due to Covid in March. I started at a new dealer and figured it would come in handy to start fresh with this knowledge.

If you are in the business
You have to get this book. You need to read it 6 or 8 times. Each time you pick up a great lesson you missed the first time.

Light entertainment reading
Light entertainment reading. Only relevant to the American model of dealerships, but has a few handy tips to offer.
