Battery issues need to be addressed
Purchased a total of 8 Ring solar path lights w/ bridge in August 2021. When I contacted Ring a year later, in August 2022, about my solar path light issues, tech support was very helpful and worked through troubleshooting my problem. It came down to drained batteries that would not recharge sufficiently to power their devices. I was informed that batteries are not covered under their warranty and they no longer provide replacements.I purchased the replacement lithium ion batteries that they recommended . The path lights started functioning again; however within 2 weeks all my batteries had discharged and were not recharging even though solar path lights are and have always been in full Arizona sun. Plugged in cable charger and now batteries only charge to 85% & will only light up while on the charging cable while inside the house. Not useful!A year of great solar lighting out of the original set of Ring rechargeable solar batteries is a fair expectation here in AZ. Why don't you sell the same Ring batteries as replacements? While I am a big Ring fan, I am extremely disappointed with this particular Ring product. The battery is the weak link here. Ring, you need to step up your game here and sell the proper replacement batteries! You also need to be upfront with the customer and market the path light as needing solar batteries replaced after some number of charges.

Great Product and Company
We love these! They are perfect outside and don’t take batteries since they are solar. The solar works perfectly and always has them at full charge. We did have an issue where one stopped working completely but Ring help was excellent and shipped us a new battery. Highly recommend this and other Ring products; great company!

Ring integration & Solar makes for great value & ease of use
Better half was not at all enthusiastic about this however now she is a big fan. Winter Update at bottom.Likes:1. Solar. In our set up, works fabulous. No batteries nor low voltage complexity. Enables flexibility of placement.2. Schedule: dusk to 11pm schedule which ramps up to full on motion. Similar for 6:am to sunrise. Minimizes light pollution, maximizes safety on our path.3. Smarts: We have it so only start and end motions units trip the group. In our placement of 4 following a winding path, we’re pretty sure the middle units motions are…. Deer. How did we discover this? See below.4. Ring integration. In our set up, looking at device history, when only the middle motion sensors trip we worked out it was deer traversing the path. Visitors walking the path tripped the first and last sensors.5. Expandability. Sure enough we ordered two solar stair lights and a solar wall light. And now an additional 2 solar path lights, and two light bulbs.6. Flexibility. Endless possibilities.7. Range: have lights 80 feet apart with 3 stories of elevation difference.BONUS: replaceable batteries. Replace when the batteries eventually fail.Dislikes1. Scanning the QR code on an iPhone. Needs to be snappier!2. How about a map? We have a Door Bell Plus, the radar view is nice. Howabout awareness (manual or automated) of all Ring devices?3. The Bridge. Yes, another device to plug in. Since we were in try it out mode, we really didn’t want another Echo / Show device. An upgrade promo for Ring Light buyer perhaps?4. Unnecessary Charging cables. So far every light has come with one. Make it optional.5. Future Proof: will this ve replaced by Matter / Thread?SummaryCompletely recommend if you have right solar aspects. We are now up to 9 Solar Path lights, 1 Solar Wall Light, 3 Solar Step lights, and 3 Outdoor plugs. We use one step light to light up our street number. If you have dogs, the motion sensors are great to gauge early if you have visitors.Winter Update: we've had 30+ CM of snow, and have seen -10C averaging 0C since daylight saving ended. As the leaves sell, some lights are getting more sunlight now than summer.1. To Maximize battery life, we took some lights off Night schedule, and have them only on motion2. For the lights with less solar, we seem to be charging at most once every two weeks.

Edit - driving me crazy with notifications
----Edit - everything in the original review below still applies. However, there are just too many false alerts for these things to be useful. Even at the lowest motion setting, it still sends motion alerts. The slightest shadow or blade of grass that moves seems to set it off. It's making us crazy. Sometimes it goes off every 15 seconds or so, and there's NEVER anything out there that should have set it off. Both units behave the same and its unlikely they're both defective. These things would have been perfect for places where it's impractical to mount a camera or floodlight. At least with those you have much finer-grained control of motion detection. If these things had a camera instead of a dumb motion detector, they would be much more useful. More expensive too of course, but at this point we have no choice but to turn off the motion detection if we want to avoid being taken away in strait jackets.-------This is a nice product and had been very happy, until I hit (lightly) one of my pathlights with the lawn mower and it it snapped off the stake. There is a small circular plastic ring attached to the bottom of the shaft, which attaches to the stake you put in the ground. This ring is attached to the bottom of the shaft with three small screws, and the small plastic areas where the screws go through were snapped off. I was going to glue the ring back on, but then I thought that this was a really good design: the engineers anticipated things bumping into the pathlight and designed this part to be sacrificial, to protect the rest of the unit. However, I was told my someone from Ring that there were no replacement parts, and left a 1-star review because of that.Within a day or two, someone from Ring contacted me. He said that the ring that broke was indeed designed to be replaceable, they just don't have any to sell at the moment and offered to send me a whole new pathlight. As promised, it arrived in a few days with a prepaid UPS label to return the broken one. This is how customer service ought to work. I considered giving 4 stars only because replacement rings aren't available, but the excellent customer service I received really deserves 5 stars. Thank you Daniel. All in all I'm very happy with the solar pathlights, they work as expected and actually alerted us to someone suspiciously checking our cars in the middle of the night, and activated the camera on our linked ring doorbell.
