I had an old pair very similar to these and needed to replace them. These are comfortable and relatively well made. My other pair lasted for several years while wearing every day. Not bad for this price.

I have been a huge fan of Sketchers for awhile now; their quality and craftsmanship are superb and their shoes are built to last! I am pretty tough on my shoes, and demand a lot from them. I need a shoe that offers sturdy support, as my back is pretty much a wuss, and will freak out about the littlest things, including lack of shoe support. Sketchers has always delivered everything I need in a shoe.I was excited to try this design, because I am on my feet a lot at work (I work 12-hour shifts on concrete floors at a manufacturing plant). From what I've read online, these shoes were ideal for my needs, because they offered the support I need for both my back and my feet. I also like the fact that these shoes have a very aggressive tread, as I do a lot of outdoor activities including hiking and camping, and I expect my everyday shoe to hold up for the task (even though I have dedicated hiking boots, sometimes you want a lighter-weight option, especially when you're carrying 60-80 pounds on your back). When these shoes arrived, I was impressed with the amount of tread and grip they provided. It wasn't like the dinky little tread you see on most shoes, it looked like they took a tire, cut it to shape, and put it on the bottom of the shoe - Sketchers meant business when they designed this shoe!The material is warm, but lets your feet breathe, so your feet stay nice and warm in the winter. I can't say how they are in the summer, as I didn't own them in the summer months. Inside, there is a lot of padding all around, especially in the tongue of the shoe, which is nice - it gives a real nice snug fit to keep the shoe in place without having to really strap down the lacing tight. There is a huge amount of padding in back on the bottom for your heels, which, for me, is where the problem comes in. For most people, this would be a very nice feature, but for some reason, it ended up hurting my heels pretty badly, almost to the point where I didn't want to walk from one end of the house to the other. After wearing them for just one 12-hour shift, my feet were screaming, and all I wanted to do was either sit back in a chair with my feet up or lay in bed, just so I wouldn't be on my feet. I understand that every pair of shoes needs to be broken in, and during that time the shoes can be a bit uncomfortable, but not this much.While I absolutely like these shoes and have absolutely nothing against them (other than the heel issue mentioned above), I am forced to return them to Amazon. Please remember that this is not the case for most people - my feet are extremely picky to begin with, and simply put, these shoes just aren't for me. I really like the quality and materials that Sketchers used to design this shoe, and I can honestly say that I believe they are a shoe that will hold up to use and abuse for quite a long time. Despite them not being the right shoe for my feet, I would still highly recommend them, but be aware that there is a large amount of padding in the heel area, and will lift the heel area of your foot upwards somewhat.I don't hold anything against Sketchers or these shoes. In fact, once my return is processed, I plan on buying a new pair of my go-to shoes, which are the Sketchers Men's Stamina Nuovo sneakers.All around, great shoe, just not for me (unfortunately).

I like the support Skechers give. They also always last, still using my older ones for working out, 3 years now. The cushion is really comfortable. Versatile for all my walking, riding ebike or motorcycle. No slipping and never ever a blister. I'm always trying to find the 9.5W and Skechers always come through. Small Town living gets tough for some things. Good price.

I don't typically write reviews of products this quickly - only Received the Sketchers Energy Afterburn Sneakers yesterday. I felt compelled to. I have size 13 foot, but based on other reviewers' recommendation, I sized Up to a 14 Wide. They were right. The 14 Wide was the way to go for me. The Sneaker offers solid platform for activity. I have some Balance issues due to Spinal & Cervical Stenosis at 72 Years Old, these shoes seem to provide a better platform form their solid and a bit more rigid sole - being helpful to me. They could be a scooch more wide in the toe box, but being leather uppers I know they will Give and stretch out over time. I'm a bit more hampered than others in that I need to wear Orthotics in the right shoe to accommodate my leg length discrepancy of about 1" on the right leg. They fit comfortably and at this price appear to be a Bargain to me. IMHO, these are not Pure Walkers but more a Shoe for activities. They are a bit heavier than my New Balance & Clark Walkers but with more foot/ankle support.

Purchased these for hubby who generally buys court shoes but Amazon was out of stock so tried these Skechers based on my own experience of loving their fit and comfort. As ones gets older a nice comfortable balanced shoe is important. These are very well quality runners being made of leather with quality stitching. Also you could tell when pulling the shoe out of the box that is not those cheap lightweight runners being sold a lot these days. The Navy color ordered is a nice dark navy/black look which blends with various clothing and hubby says they are very comfortable. I like them as despite being a runner they still have a nice quality look and not too large/obtrusive looking as some are. Will be looking to purchase my next runners from Skechers through Amazon based on this experience. Glad to see that not all companies have cheapened their product. Great quality given the price. Would definitely recommend them.
