I bought this 2 pack for my GXWH04F. I didn't realize this comes with 2 different size o-rings. The first one I tried was too big but the second one was perfect. No leaks! The included grease is great. Nice to not have to buy some separately.

Good Replacement

First of all.... Grease that o ring and the grooves of the housing. Use all the enclosed grease as needed. The grease will repel the water. The o ring will expand to a diameter that will not stay in housing grooves IF,,,, not enough grease, orrrrr, if you HULK OUT on tightening the housing and crush the o ring.The o ring will stop the leaks if you just snug the canister when tightening. IF it is leaking.... remove pressure and loosen cannister slightly and retighten. IF YOU ,,,, Tighten with wrench,,, get your big boy pants on and get ready to hulk out to get it off at end of filter life. This is when I find the gasket is done and will not be reusable if over compressed. I change every 3 months and have a sediment filter in line to pre filter before the main filter. Really hard well water in Ohio. I can usually reuse the o ring 4 to 5 times. At first, years ago, I would only be able to reuse o ring 1 or 2 reuses. DON'T HULK OUT when tightening,,,, or you can ignore my advice and breakout your big boy pants on and bust a move Dude... housing or the wrench can break.... You Can Do Sparky!!! Russ D.

When I order it supposed to be two packs I received only one I don't know why.....?

The package came with two different O-rings. I was hoping to have one O-ring and a spare. The O-ring#1 is what works for me best with my model GXWH20F GE Smart Water filter from the early 1990s. The manual calls for a WS03X10038 O-Ring.

Purchased the O-rings a year ago as replacement parts when the water filter cartridge was replaced. Opened package today to replace a leaking O-ring, it is too large for the grove in the water filter housing. Completely unusable!In short, a useless product, do not purchase.
