The Book of Lilith

The good/bad story of Lilith is, in itself, amazing. So this was a nice addition to my collection.

This book is amazing. It’s very informational. It is shorter than I thought it would be. The total page number is around 120 pages.

Not too long, easy to come back to again and again for reference.

To be honest, this book got me started in my research of Lilith back when I was still in grad school ... eventually leading me to write The Rape of Lilith. It offers much in the way of understanding Lilith as both a mythical/religious figure as well as an archetype of the psyche. However, there are times when she does not cite sources, and other times it seems that the author attempts to draw direct parallels between Lilith and other literary figures without enough linking evidence/support. Also, I had some difficulty locating a few of her sources. I am not trying to say that the sources do not exist ... just that they were either improperly cited or have become outdated and/or gone out of print. Happens to the best of us.All in all ... I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a place to start on the journey to understanding the Dark Mother. I would be lying if I said this book was not crucial in leading me to many source texts during my early years of researching Lilith.

Great delivery time. Wonderful condition. Now for the book itself, I suggest acquainting yourself with Lilith prior to delving in this book. My sister checked this out of my university's library and she found it interesting but challenging to read. I decided to buy it so I could read it when I had the time. The reading junkie that I am, I started reading it immediately. While I am vaguely acquainted with the story of Lilith I find it challenging to follow. I am now doing some background reading before proceeding with this book. I think this requires some fundamental knowledge of this version of creation prior to reading Koltuv's book.

I bought this book for astrology purposes but this book took me so much deeper than I had imagined. This is an amazing book that delves into ancient religious texts that talk about Lilith and what these means in the modern-day age. This book is a powerful awakening tool for Dark Goddess energy, the counterpart to Eve feminine energy. It has really opened my eyes to the other side of femininity and the suppression of female power. This is an excellent book, I highly recommend it.

Thank goodness for this book. I had accidentally stumbled upon a Christian Gnostic version of Lilith before this and was horrified! I had been called by her and am now seeking to understand her and this gave me great relief. This is who I felt.

The book is good overall. There are many parts of the Zohar quoted here, and important things. However, I just gave four stars bacause the book focussed to much on all the bad things, as though the devil would be waiting on each corner to get you. LOL!

Love the book, a bit hard to follow but love the history!

Can't really evaluate the quality of the text because the formatting is so bad. One word per line does not make for easy reading!
