Not a secure locking cable
Noticed when I was crimping these that the clasp is very weak. My crimping tool sheered it like a knife through hot butter. Not a secure option.

This is exactly what its supposed to be.
Please take it from a professional LocksmithThis product is a wire key ring that will separate...unti its crimped . I used a light pressure with some basic stripper tool . Once you crimp it . Its sealed.

often comes apart
Under normal usage, these things just come apart

Little bit smaller than the ones I had originally.
Was expecting to be a bit bigger, but I didn't look at the overall diameter when ordering. Not the manufacturers problem just me not looking.

Come apart easily.
Essentially useless. Crimping them create a strong closure at the crimp. The weak point is where the metal ferrule meets the black cable. The cables pulls right out with very little effort. I tested this on 3 different units and they all failed. Attempting to further crimp the ferrules onto the cable has not yielded positive results.

Great permanent key rings
My workplace has been using these rings for years to seal employee and lockbox key sets securely together. Please note that these rings have to be crimped together (with pliers or a crimping tool), after which they’re permanently sealed. I think the reviewer who left the one star review was looking for a different product this company makes, which can be snapped open and closed. These rings are more for long-term applications where you don’t want the keyholder splitting up the key set; they can cut the ring apart if they’re determined, but they won’t be able to put it back together, so it’s an obvious visual indicator that the key set has been tampered with. We’ve also used rigid steel rings in the past, but we like these ones better because they squish to fit in small lockboxes, have a smaller diameter to fit through most holes, and don’t require special tools to seal. They crimp easily and don’t pull apart (unless you crimp them way too hard with sharp cutters and cut through the metal, which is easy to avoid and obvious immediately). We also recently discovered these rings come in different colors and started color coding our key sets, so everybody knows immediately which set to grab without having to look at key codes or chit tags. Very happy with these overall.

Don't buy this, it's trash.
For the people that think it's supposed to lock and untwist, learn how to read, it's supposed to crimp. For those that try and crimp, the metal doesn't bend, it shatters. Save your time and money and find something else.

If your looking for the locking cable rings that don't actually lock, you've found them!
We use this type of key ring all the time. We love this type. However, I pulled 10 or so out of the bag and none of them would actually lock. With very little effort I could just pull these apart. These are supposed to be the twist-lock type, but no twisting was necessary to separate them. Just pull, and voila! keys all over the floor. Useless as a key ring. Didn't work at all.

Limited security
Easily breakable by pulling once crimped. Not as secure as I had hoped.
