Yes it is a long book but like any thing you take a little at a time not rushing through the amazing story of this amazing man of God. Through trials and tribulations this manuscript will not only encourage you but also challenge not only your prayer life but more important your Christian everyday walk. A must read for your bucket list of things to do before His return.

I must honestly but joyfully confess that Leonard Ravenhill is the most influential person in my life. He had the unusual gift of taking the subjects of revival and prayer and bringing them into the context of our lifetime, from the time he lived until now. He carried the same unction and power of a Whitefield in his praying and much often in his preaching. His fervor and conviction for revival and God's glory was unmatched. The impact he had on the church was tremendous and still is.His life of prayer and preaching and his prophetic call to the church was unusually powerful. Anyone with an open heart will be greatly impacted by this man's life and ministry. He truly was a great prophet. There is much more to say about Ravenhill and this book, but all I can tell you is to buy it despite the cost. It is worth it! He will leave you with a greater appetite for God and for His will. Also, buy his books and read them. They will transform your life and stir a great hunger and thirst in you for Christ perhaps like no other books. Be blessed!

SO GOOD! Well worth the price. Great overview or Ravenhill’s life. Easy to read. Lots of photographs, quotes, stories. Includes short bios of other people in his life. Includes a big list of great Ravenhill quotes as well as poetry and a list of his favorite books. If you love Ravenhill you will love this book!

Accurate bio about a modern day revivalist. Every real evangelical preacher would do well to read this book.

Overall a superb book especially good for those in ministry. Mack Tomlinson gives an incredibly detailed and well organized account of the life of Leonard Ravenhill complete with lots of quality photographs. After reading this book I felt a renewed passion to focus on prayer, preaching and living for eternity. The one weakness of this book is that it is perhaps too exhaustive. Instead of 600 pages, perhaps 400 pages would have sufficed. That said, don't miss out on this quality piece of Christian literature.

Wonderful biography of a truly great man of God. His life of evangelism and prayer is an inspiration and model for generations to come.

This is a book that I have waited over 10 years to see published. Leonard Ravenhill is a man that I love for all the tears I have wept over my stoney heart and rebellious flesh. Now to read of his youth, early ministry and passions in full detail was a joy. I only gave it 4 stars because in the middle the stories of personal interactions and relationships ran on and on. Well worth the read, it'll help shape the soul.

Got the incredible Biography today-IN LIGHT OF ETERNITY-LIFE OF LEONARD RAVENHILL.Considering it came from USA it arrived quicker than expected and in good condition.I have only read first 2 chapters but I admired Mr Ravenhill-he majored on things that a lot of Christians NOT keen on-namely HOLINESS/THE FEAR OF GOD/AND OF COURSE PRAYER !!!!THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR THE AVERAGE LUKEWARM CHRISTIAN.BUT IF YOU DESIRE A HUNGER FOR GOD THEN BUY THIS BOOK !!!

Fantastic biography, so much detail, found it hard to put down when reading the first 150 pages. For me it was a bit to long, was ready to put it down after page 400.
