Good optics but bulky
These seem like decent binoculars but I have a few reservations. They're a bit bulky and are a little difficult to maneuver in my (small) hands which makes it harder to focus on the fly, especially because the focus wheel is a bit stiff. The eye spacing is another issue for me because they don't collapse quite enough for my eyes, though they are still usable. My last concern is the fact that the lens caps are four separate pieces and not attachable to the binoculars themselves, so they seem easy to lose. Other than that, I'm happy with the optics and the fact that they included a neck strap and a case.

Highly recommended for younger children who can treat with respect and care.
I purchased these for my bird-loving son when he turned 6. He has had little trouble adjusting them to see clearly. If I use them without my glasses, and he has to do more adjusting --- that trips him up. But I just try to remember to only use them with my glasses on (which works great!), and then all he has to do is squeeze them back together, and he sees well. I am surprised how much I do use them myself... About the only thing I can say is that I wish they worked better on overcast days - but that's not the binoculars fault. They will always work best with good lighting.

Great optics & easy to use
I am not really a birder, just a backyard bird watcher and occasional hiking bird gazer but want to expand into that hobby. Researched low-cost binoculars for birders and narrowed it down to this pair based primarily on price, brightness rating, and ease of use while wearing eyeglasses. This item delivers on all counts. Reasonable weight, don't look cheap, easy to adjust. The strap on the binoculars isn't very comfortable to wear on the neck and the accompanying bag is irritating because it has a non-removable strap that is too short to wear the bag cross-body. Minor quibbles not to do with the instrument itself and easily and cheaply rectified. Highly recommended.

Happy Birder
Got these to replace the pair that were damaged in a fall. I thought I was ordering the same pair that I had damaged (which I loved) but these are even better. They are crisper and sharper and much better than I expected. The price was perfect (I wasn't planning on replacing my old ones. FYI, the prisms and lenses were fine after a nasty fall on concrete - the only damage was to the focus nob, but bins that can't focus aren't much good. They sacrificed themselves to save me broken ribs.) A little bit heavier, so I will get a harness for them, but can't beat the clarity and quality.

Basically a really nice binocular
I like everything about these binoculars except the fact that they don't close down enough for a smaller person. Clarity is great and they're really comfortable except for the fact that I can't get them to fit my eye spacing.

New Favorite!
I just love these binoculars for bird watching! We have several pairs of binoculars and these are by far the best for backyard birdwatching. They are light and adjust easily for distance. The eye pieces adjust for eyeglass wearers. The neck strap is a nice safety feature when I am outdoors since I don't always watch where I walk. Was given these as a gift and I could not be more pleased with them.

Cheap optics that are okay for under $50
These are not great optics, nor are they well made. The Cabela's branded binos are considerably better for about the same price. Or they put them on sale for $30, buy those instead. These are not nearly as nice as the other NatureView bino's I got. Those are water/fog proof and much brighter with proper eye reliefs and have fully coated lenses. These are none of those things, leading me to believe that Backyard Birder is best translated as the cheapest binoculars Bushnell makes. I sent them back and bought the cabela's ones, after trying to use these one time.

No complaints
Been very happy with these for simple backyard birding. Lots of light and good detail. I even looked at the moon the other night and it was useful for that too. For the price, this pair is a really reasonable way to go from economy binoculars to the next step up.

Inexpensive but work fine.
Inexpensive, same as several sold under different names all from the same factory in China such as the Yosemite, strap was a pig to thread through the binocular, however the optics are nice just don,t expect these to be a life time binocular.

Great birders and general field glasses
Very light weight and so easy to set up for your eye's. I wear glasses and the eye pieces fit on my eye glasses perfectly.with no down sizing of the "circle of view". I highly recommend these Binoculars to any one that wears prescription lenses.

Just what I needed!
Very happy with these binoculars. I use them mostly for casual birding and they are very suitable. I really like the rubberized coating and the fact that they are sealed.
