Got this tent to bring to the beach. My only complaint is the stakes to hold it down wasn't the best, but that's not a huge problem because you can use just about anything. Great size, fit me my husband and toddler in it for lounging on the beach.

I wanted something to take to the beach so I don't burn. This will do it.It's bigger than I expected, but I wanted it to be comfortable when someone comes to the beach with me, so I don't regret it. That said, I might also get a smaller one for the days when I'm out on my own, one that folds up to a smaller diameter (this one folds to a 29 inch diameter, which is one of the largest sizes).If you're not a handy person (e.g. IKEA is your nemesis, puzzles are pain, not pleasure), you might want to stop here, because the folding up does require some dexterity and spatial awareness. If that's not your thing, a more conventional beach parasol/umbrella is going to be a lot less annoying for you than this type of popup tent.If you are handy (IKEA does not scare you), this is a super-easy, barely-an-inconvenience fold away. It's not in any way an IKEA product, but it's that kind of thinking.Setup: It's a popup, so it sets up fast and easy. Take it out, and let it fly!Keeping the tent in place at the beach: The sand pockets and tent pegs are in a separate little bag inside the carry-case. Don't forget about them, or your tent might fly away.Fold-Away: Make sure you learn to fold it up before you go to the beach. If you're a handy-type, watch the videos on youtube, and practice once, it's a cakewalk. I do like that they include an attached strap to hold the disk together (after it's folded) to make it easier to insert back into the sleeve/carry-case.There's even an illustrated step-by-step guide printed on the carry-case itself (see photo) to remind you how to fold it once you're at the beach. The illustrated guide is also there for all the folks who won't watch the videos before they go to the beach (you know who I'm talking about, the one who's NOT here doing the research on Amazon and YouTube with you...) I still recommend watching the videos and practicing the folding and not relying solely on the illustrated guide.I would love it if the tent had that extra inside silver-insulation lining because I believe that layer reflects both light and heat, but since the tent is open in the front and has mesh on the other 3 sides, I don't think heat will be an issue. Also, the dark polyester top should provide suitable, 50+ UPF protection according to the science I found on the internet.Note that the mesh on the sides will allow sun through, so you'll be best protected by the tent during the middle hours of the day. If a family of four is piled in (snuggly) and the sun is getting low, someone's going to be getting sun. With one or two people, I am guessing we can probably move around the space to find sufficient shade. But I don't know yet.

Great option to use on the beach instead of umbrella. Exactly what I needed to be in full shade under blazing Florida sun. Spacious enough for two people .Very light to carry - there is no set up ! It sets up itself.The only problem I had was to fold the tent. After reading other users reviews I thought I will do a dry run at home before taking tent to the beach - glad I did .I did not find folding instructions that are printed on a bag helpful and after few failures I started looking for video instructions.After watching video and a little bit more of struggle- Success !tent is folded and back in a bag. I need to practice few more times folding before taking tent to the beach.Posting video showing step by step would certainly help.Overall - great product - light weight, no need to assemble, sun protection , size and unit functionality are 100% .Folding requires some practice - but once you master folding the tent back into the bag - process takes literally 30 seconds.

The media could not be loaded. I love this beach tent, I immediately repurchased it after moving back to the beach town. It is super lightweight and portable, comes nicely folded in a matching bag. All you need to do is remove rubber band that wraps around it, and the tent pops into shape. The tent comes with a few little sand bags and metal pins for weighting it down, (which I don’t use as just the weight of my beach bag, towel etc holds it down). It fits two adults comfortably laying down or sitting on the lined bottom. It has a side mesh allowing the air to circulate. I definitely recommend it, just make sure to practice folding it back before using in public. Once you try a few times it will take you less then 5 seconds to fold. I love the color too.

We bought this tent so that me and our dog aren't baking in the sun while my husband is out spearfishing. It's so lightweight and easy to carry down to the beach, offers good sun protection and has mesh on the sides to let the breeze through. Setting it up is instant as soon as you remove the band and putting it away takes about 20 seconds. We've had it for over a year and we go to the beach often. It's held up great with no damage. Definitely recommend.

Tent itself is fine, pops out and folds up no problem. Plenty of space. The main issue is that the model I purchased does not have ANY vents, so the only airflow you'll get is whatever gets in through the front. The tent lets a lot of IR light in, so you'll quickly be hotter in the tent than you would standing outside.

We like this tent. It will make a great “playroom” for the grandkids in the family room and will serve equally well as a wind and sunbreak outdoors. It seems well constructed – all seams are intact, and it pops right up to its full size with very little effort. A 6’4” person can lay down and nearly be fully inside the tent. We appreciate the repacking instructions/diagrams printed on the outside of the carrying case. Without them it would be very difficult to get the tent back into the case, but with them and a bit of practice it is fairly straightforward. Once packed in its case, the tent is easy to carry and store. The included sandbags make perfect sense for a windy beach day. The UPF protection is another included feature that is important to us since one of the purposes for this tent will be to keep the sun off. We have wanted a tent like this for some time now and are happy with this product.

Got it today. It popped open easily as described but there is no mesh. Worried it will get too hot without the air flow. Might return.
