Edit: I changed my review to five stars because I fixed the dispensing issue and it’s working perfectly again. Here’s what happened: We moved, and the dispenser must have jostled around in the process (I took out the batteries so it wouldn’t be triggered during transport). The cap on the back (where you refill the soap) has a rubber stopped inside, which has a tiny hole to equalize the air pressure as it dispenses (like when you poke a hole in those plastic dispensing water jugs). During transport, soap coated the tiny hole and dried in it, effectively plugging it up. I washed the cap and unplugged the hole, and now it works perfectly again. This cap shouldn’t plug up like that during normal use, it’s just because it got bounced around when we moved.Old (outdated) review:One week after the return window, this soap dispenser only works every other squirt. The first time you put your hand under, you can hear the mechanism trying to suction but nothing comes out. Put your hand back under and then when it makes the suctioning noise, it will dispense soap. I’ve cleaner out the nozzle so it’s not clogged. The batteries are brand new, so it’s not a power issue, and the dispenser is still completely full of soap. An automatic soap dispenser was supposed to be effortless, but now it’s obnoxious. Very disappointed to have spent so much on it.

Was a little frustrated as first as it took several tries to get it work. The small plug in the top that holds the soap fell into the The dispenser because it doesn’t fit securely and there is no way to get it out. It is some kind of plastic “wood” looking paper not real wood and I’m afraidAfter getting wet multiple times this “paper” like material will peel. I’m not sure thisIs worth more than 15.00 and I bought twoAt over $62! Not sure if I willKeep it. It serves the purpose and has a nice clean look but long term the verdict is out** UPDATE- after less than a month of using this thing goes haywire! It starts spitting out soap at random, not shutting off at all much less not turning on when you put your hands under it. I was willing to keep it at first, but now, I for sure will be sending both back.

I purchased this soap dispenser because it was the nicest looking one I could find - not looking like a robot or machine on my kitchen counter. Unfortunately it took about 4 waves of my hand to get any soap at all. It would make the running noise and no soap came out the first 3 times. Even long after it had been filled for the first time. Worst of all, I discovered corroded batteries because soap leaked into the battery compartment. Had to throw away 4 nice, rechargeable batteries.

This is great for the kitchen. The motion detection is pretty sensitive - sometimes it goes off when someone doesn't realize how close their hand is - but it's so nice to have when your hands are really dirty, especially raw meat. The kiddo thinks it's super fun when they do dishes or wash their hands. It holds a quite a bit of soap and is easy to use and refill. It's perfect for the kitchen, but might be a little over-sized in a smaller bathroom.

The box has misspelled English words, which made me concern of its quality. There are an area on the unit which the "wood pattern" sticker fell out, which raised the second alarm. The unit pumps way too much soap (more than 1mL each time as what printed on the box), and there is no adjustment button as in other units. Overall, I don't have faith in this generic Chinese product to last longer than several months, so I'm returning the unit.

Once you put your hand under for soak, it keeps coming out if you don't move your hand quickly enough. I learned to put my hand under for soap and when the light turns blue to release the soap, I drop my hand down because it sometimes keeps coming out.

When I saw this I had to have it as the perfect compliment to my modern decor. I loved it so much so I bought a second one for another bathroom in my home. However, they stopped working. I tried ALL the suggestions; priming the pump, thinning the soap, changing the batteries, etc. Of course this happened AFTER the return window so in the garbage it went. I even bought another and it happened with the new one as well, but I was able to return it. The worst part was I could NOT contact the company directly as I couldn't find contact info ANYWHERE - Shady! Do NOT buy this, no matter how enticing the design!!!

It is attractive in the kitchen. One fill-up lasts a long time. It is great when I am cooking that I don’t have to touch any pump, bottle, etc. to get the soap on my hands.
