This has the usual Fischertechnik high quality. The drive mechanism for model cars has a differential gear that works smoothly. It has enough power to make models run around the room. But it's not especially powerful, doesn't compete with model cars made for racing. On the plus side it's versatile and has a place with all sorts of Fischertechnik plans, cars and otherwise. Also has a circuit breaker in the motor so it will not burn out.

Nine year old grandson loves Fischertechnik toys.

People who are worried about LEAD in this product don't understand that electric motors have solder joining the armature wires to the commutator. Those parts are hidden deep inside the motor itself. Unless you child is skilled enough to take the motor from the plastic case, remove the actual motor, disassemble the motor, and eat the solder from the commutator (?) s/he cannot get to the "lead"?I have owned FischerTechnik kits since the mid 1980s. They were a replacement for my Gilbert Erector sets from my childhood. When Erector closed their doors, Fischertechnik was the inevitable successor. Their combination of industrial nylon plastic parts and chrome steel shafts were just as durable as the Erector parts. Plus, they had the advantage of easier assembly / disassembly. Fewer machine screws and nuts to get lost in mother's carpeting, and the models were less "clunky" looking. My final model before I left Germany was a working steam powered DC electric generating plant. I bought the steam engine at a toy store in Germany. I used a belt to an FT flywheel made from tractor wheels and tires. Used a gear drive system to turn three FT motors as the "generators". I hooked them in series and put 100 mfd. capacitors across each of the three "generators" to smooth the current. When the steam engine had a full head of pressure, the generators created enough electricity to light an old-fashioned FT incandescent light bulb. Done with today's technology, that steam generating plant could have lit a string of modern day LED lamps.That's not a bad demonstration of the power of the FT system to model an actual power plant.

I own several kits from this same brand, and all I have to say is ... WOW! the products from fischertechnik are top quality. They can be used as toys or as tools for serious mechanical designs. As a mechanical engineer I would recommend it to my fellow professionals, hobbyist and kids. Regarding the lead, If your kid don't understand that toys don't go in their mouths and they are 3+ yrs, then you should be concern for something more serious besides lead containing toys.

I have not opened the box. The warning label says"Electronic parts contain lead. May be harmful if eaten or chewed. May generate dust containing lead." Hmmmm!!!Would I let my 9 year old try this? I cannot find more info about the lead online. To think that their products are part of the German school curiculum

Absolut unverzichtbares Teil für meinen Fischer Technik begeisterten Sohn. Ist nicht gerade ein Schnäppchen, aber Fischer Technik hat nunmal seinen Preis 😅

Motorisation des circuits de billes 547631. Accessoire indispensable : on peut regarder sans se lasser les 6 billes effectuer leur circuit alors qu'on se lasse très très vite de la manivelle !

Perfecto, de la misma calidad que todo lo de Fischertechnik. Va con una pila de 9v NO incluida en el paquete.

Good product butdo one's best for strive to adapt in different models (Fischer Advanced Universal 3), since the instructions is not reported anything!
