I've been researching a lot about microneedling and how we can achieve the same results at home that are offered in clinics. Microneedling is very popular in skincare, but a lot of people do it without taking the proper precautions. Moving from a roller head to a stamping head like this one is a good first step, but I just want to encourage people to also maintain a VERY sterile workspace when you microneedle. This seems obvious, but there are so many horror stories of folks getting nasty infections. Be carful with your skin <3On to the actual review - the M8 is a beautifully constructed device. It's so simple to use - just one single button that adjusts the speed and turns the device on/off. I also love the disposable sterile needles. This is a great solution to the problem of keeping your microneedling tools clean in a home enviroment. The needles lock in very securely and are made well. If you want to glide the needles across your face I find you need some kind of slip, but because you are microneedling you want to be carful what ingredients you use with it. I find a simple high molecular weight hyaluronic acid serum works wonderfully, and is generally safe to use with the device. It also has the added benefit of helping to keep things hydrated, because one of the temporary side effects from doing a microneedling session is your skin will feel dry for a couple of days afterwards.Make sure you never microneedle more than once a week on lower settings. Anything higher than .5mm shouldn't be done more than once a month! Happy with purchase. Seems to be well made and works quite well. Do homework before using as I think good results can be achieved however if done incorrectly or using or not using certain products before, during, or after can have negative consequences. So if careful this could be a nice item to have long term for facial care.

So far, the product works as described. I did have a rough, dark age spot in my forehead then it cleared up in 2 or 3 treatments. The jury is still out whether it will smooth and the other clear up the age spots on my skin.I tried using topical lidocaine, but don’t think it helps much. Treatment of the forehead without medicine is uncomfortable but tolerated. On the cheeks it’s minimally uncomfortable.I did have an issue with a pen that stopped working. The company sent me a replacement without any hassle, which was great. (I would have been very disappointed otherwise).

I’m experienced with these devices as a skincare professional, but wish they came with more needle cartridges…

I am about to turn 30 and I’m really worrying about new fine lines as well as scarring from a breakout I had a few months ago. I explored professional micro needling, but the absolute minimum price I could find near me was $600/session with the recommendation of at least 4 sessions! There was absolutely no way I could spend that. I explored some Reddit groups and saw this recommended, but not without caution. I was honestly pretty scared of trying this and ending up with even more damage, but I am using it in the most minimal way possible and it’s been safe and easy so far.What I do recommend is making sure everything is extremely sterile before using this on your face. Look up the recommended protocol for use and use the best products for cleaning and slip on your skin. Do NOT try to go deep with the needles. The point of this isn’t to bleed but you will feel some pain. I use .25 under my eyes and thinner areas and I don’t go fully to .5 for the rest of my face but usually somewhere in between the two. I’m still seeing great effects already and expect the cumulative results to be great with what I’m seeing after just 2 uses. Don’t over do it and make sure you’re extremely sun-safe the following few days.

Update: They sent me a replacement and it works great. Easy to use. I’m already noticing a changeI opened the box. Put it right on the charger for about 8 hours. Tried using it and nothing worked. I thought maybe it needed the head on it so I opened one up and put it on and still nothing. What a piece of junk.

I LOVE MINES, I can definitely see a difference in my skin after using this. Well worth the money!
