## Description

TheraBulb NIR-A Near Infrared Bulb - 300 Watt - 120 Volt - desertcart.com

Review: Great IR Lights - I was looking into IR light therapy and my friend recommended these lights. They work very well (you also have to buy a 300 W housing for the bulb). I'll sit between 12 and 18 inches away from the light for about 15 minutes at a time. I've used this on my shoulder, knee, low back, and feet. It works really well at increasing circulation and warming up the area. Just be careful and use common sense.
Review: Great for joint pain - I bought this as an alternative to going to the infrared sauna's to try and help with joint pain from multiple Auto Immune conditions. I wish I had done so sooner! I use this almost daily for for my hands, back, and knees. The warmth it emits is great but the relief I get that last an entire day after makes this the best purchase I have made for 2020!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this a LED light bulb?**
A: NO this is not an LED bulb

**Q: W Can I use this bulb instead of the light bulb in a bathroom ceiling?**
A: Only if the light fixture is rated high enough temperature wise because of the high heat. Most ordinary light fixtures and not, so this would be dangerous and could result in a fire.

**Q: difference between infrared red light and LED red light therapy?**
A: Infrared and red light both are types of energy. The energy is measured in nanometers (nm). Red light is 600nm-699nm and near infrared energy is 700nm-1000nm. Red light is perceptible to the naked eye and infrared energy (both near infrared and far infrared) is not. Incandescent (non-LED) near infrared bulbs emit heat, red light, and near infrared. LED bulbs do not emit heat and the type of energy (red light, near infrared, or other) they put out varies according to what the manufacturer designs them to. However, red light that comes from an LED bulb is the same as red light that comes from an incandescent bulb. The same is true for near infrared energy. The other factor that significantly affects the output of a bulb of any type is wattage. Higher wattage means more power is going into the bulb, which means more energy is being put out. In the case of incandescent bulbs, it also means more heat.

**Q: Is this ir or just a heat lamp? i thought ir was invisible to the eye but all the reviews have clearly visible light. thank you!**
A: Thank you for your interest in TheraBulb. The bulb produces heat (maximum operating temperature = 589 degrees Fahrenheit), as well as some visible light, red light, and near infrared energy. Near infrared is, indeed, not visible to the naked eye, which is why we've had an independent lab verify the output of our bulbs. Those tests have confirmed that the majority of the output of the bulb is in the 400nm - 1000nm range. Output from 400nm-699nm is visible light. Red light is 650-699nm and near infrared is 700nm - 1000nm. Detailed output information from the lab tests is available by request through the contact form on our web site.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for joint pain

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It really works !!
*by N***Y on March 1, 2020*

I have been using infrared for therapy on my joints for some time. I was pleased when I saw TheraBulbs new 300 Watt near infrared bulb. I previously been using their 250 Watt to great effect and chose them to to their RoHS safety rating and certified laboratory results on near infrared wavelength output. I have found TheraBulb's 300 Watt bulb gives off quite a bit more irradiance than 250 Watt bulbs and works well to cover the entire area of my injured knee. I have posted a picture using it in the therapy lamp I bought on Amazon. Also, another picture comparing it to the 250 Watt TheraBulb. The 300 Watt bulb has a slightly longer neck which works well in the therapy lamp I bought on Amazon. I use it for 10 minutes twice a day and find that the deep penetrating infrared heats up the joint and increases circulation, reduces pain and increases my mobility. It's great to be able to find affordable infrared therapy you can do yourself at home.
