A perfect real-life example of The Good Samaritan-----An ordinary man with no idea of "saving the world" or ferreting out "good deeds" to do, is confronted with a great and terrible need. And like the Good Samaritan in the famous parable, he humanely does as much as is possible. And he leaves the scrapbook in the attic for 50 years without even telling his wife! Is it not written, "When giving gifts of mercy do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing?" What sort of man is this, really?

A truly moving and encouraging true story of compassion, valor and and great love for others that is hardly ever spoken of. Thank you for having this movie on Prime. It needs to be spread far and wide throughout the world, as his legacy continues on.

This is a captivating and amazing story of such a kind and humble man, who thankfully so, would not take no for an answer in saving so many children’s lives! May God continue to bless his family that has grown to 5700!!

Not just a documentary or snippet of history, but an example of how an act of kindness impacts generations. We need more of this on the internet.

What a wonderful testimony to the difference one life can make. Thank you to all who made this movie possible. I won't forget this any time soon, that's for sure.

So pleased I got this DVD as I have shown it to a lotsof friends and everyone has been very touched by this love story.It is part drama part documentary and it works very well.

Authentic, with touchingly sincere reminiscences from people who had been rescued as children, matched by realistic acting and inspiring evaluation of its ongoing significance.

DVD is not in as good condition as described. In several spots it skips whole sections and won't plat them (on a new player, but tried old one as well. Same thing).

Great film... :) I saw a report on 60 minutes and bought the film to learn more about it. I have shown the report to students and they were amazed...
