Samsill Vintage Hardcover Notebook, 200 Lined Notebook Pages, Brown, 5.25 x 8.25 Inch

Though the item is a bit pricey (at least on my budget) I am very thrilled with my purchase. I bought the 7.5 X 10" version and the look and feel of it is awesome--you feel like you're pulling an old & revered book off a shelf. The front and back covers are blank except for the Samsill brand stamped into the bottom of the back cover (doesn't bother me--I want to remember who made it) and the pages are thick and textured with a wide rule perfect for handwriting journals, creative brainstorming, etc. And we stare at stark white backgrounds on our computers so much that the colored pages of lined paper are a welcome relief to the eyes. I hope one day they'll consider offering a bulk discount to lower the price a bit--would love to order about 12 of these--one for every month.If you love writing by hand, this is the kind of tool or journal it will give you joy to write in. Awesome!

It's evident from the reviews that you can't please all the people all the time, but I will say that after receiving my journal today I couldn't be happier and the price was perfect. I have been journaling for many years and each New Year I go on my quest for my new Journal for the year. Some I have used reluctantly and convinced myself without forking out 40 dollars are more I would just have to content myself with journals that felt like pajamas I bought at Walmart. My new Journal dispelled that illusion. It's solid and perfect in size. The pages feel like they are jumping up to lick my pen like the dog does when I return home. It's a pleasure not unlike petting my dog, but in a different way. So, if you are looking for a very classic journal with a rustic outdoors feel, and you don't want to make your debit card scream, avail yourself of this one. You will not go wrong for the price and you will not feel like you're wearing pajamas from Walmart I promise, more like J.C. Penny flannels, but for under fifteen dollars what were you expecting, Ralph Lauren?

Doesn't bleed any ballpoint pens. Haven't tried any sharpies or highlighters, but scribbled out a mistake really hard with a ballpoint pen and saw nothing on the other side of the page. Great quality for me! Love the binding's design on the outside (ordered the brown one). Pages look old, almost like parchment. They're nice. Although, when you first get the notebook, be sure to flip open and flatten every page. They stick together if you don't. No trouble for me. It was relaxing to do. I'm left handed, so my notebooks have to lay perfectly flat when you open them or else my hand gets in the way and I can't write properly. This notebook advertised that and it DOES lay flat, so it's great for left handed people. The edges are gold and beautiful. I will order more.

The journal itself is beautiful and well-made, but they advertise it as having 200 lined notebook pages, and that's just not true. I know this because I numbered them, and then went back and counted again, and there are only 192 lined pages. I know that's not a big deal, but I bought it because it was supposed to have 200 pages. If the page count isn't a big deal for you, then you'll love the journal. It's well-made, beautiful, has thick pages, and a cute little ribbon book mark. If you need 200 lined pages, this isn't for you.

I was surprised with this journal. Quality is good for a $13 product. Paper is thick enough for fountain pens without bleed through. Barely visible ghosting shown. I tested 4 different pens all medium nib each with various inks (Waterman, Diamine, Pelikan) and the paper held up well without issues. Cover is PU leather so vegan friendly and seems durable enough to travel with. Has a ribbon bookmark which is a nice bonus.It's a no frills, basic lined journal. Meaning no pockets, gilded pages or any other additional features found in your bullet journals. This is not what this is or claims to be.One thing to note though : There is an unpleasant smell to it. Not overpowering but definitely present. An odor between chemical and fish. I don't know, it's odd. I have had it for a few days and it has yet to "air out." I'll give it a few more and then I'm cleansing it with sage. Yes, I went there.

Really lovely. Has the look of old world books, but a better price tag. I’ve handled many very old books with thread bound pages and ornate leather covers, hence my desire to order this.Of course the pleather isn’t ideal and it isn’t going to fool anyone, but it is bound well, has nice thick pages with the appearance of age, and is a great size between the A6 and the A5 notebooks.Would work well for a DIY planner, journal, or just a quality notebook for a class in which you want to preserve your notes.At a distance on a shelf it looks good as well.

For the price ($10.99), this is the best journal on Amazon right now. Great quality cover. Perfect size. And the pages are nice. Not the most authentic vintage sheets, but it'll feel special when you write in them. You won't notice. The pages are also solid, and writing in ink doesn't bleed through.The ONLY problems I have with this journal is the logo on the back (which is barely visible; I like no logos), and the gluing of the last page to the cover. The gluing isn't top dollar, but it won't matter when the words you're putting inside of it mean more than just the quality of the book. I bought 2. But seriously, actually the best journal on Amazon right now. Highly recommend. I'll be bringing this journal everywhere I can. I love it.Purchased: May 5, 2022.

I'm really pleased with this. The cover is beautiful, and the pages are a really nice tan with a good weight. Racing to finish my last notebook just so I can get to writing in this one. Well worth it, and I highly recommend it.

Hi Everybody, I have received this notebook today. The outer is brown the inside is ochre lined pages with a black ribbon bookmark. Arrived wrapped in cellophane. Really nice notebook with a vintage look for the price paid. Thankyou Amazon. This is my genuine opinion. I will use mine for scrapbooking/junk journalling.
