Simple to use, works great!

Who would think that a small, weird looking plastic "key" would be so handy. With a little lift or two, the seal breaks and I can hear the air sucking in, then it's an easy twist to open the jar. I have arthritis in my thumb so trying to open stubborn jars without this Jar Key is painful and I don't wait want to wait till my husband gets home to open them.

As advertised it easily breaks the initial vacuum seal on almost any food jar. It may lift the lids of home canned jars, but be watchful as it may damage those because they are so thin. But you will still need the trusty jar WRENCH type opener to re-open a jar that some previous user left food residue on threads of jar of cap, as this cannot be used to create any rotting torque. Now if some bright person would design this "popper" onto the back end of those adjustable jar wrenches, I would be able to eliminate one item from my kitchen tool drawer.

This product does exactly what it is supposed to…pops the seal on a new jar so it is much easier to open. Highly recommend.
