When you reconstitute these carrots it’s truly like magic. They plump right up, look and taste like you had just cut them and boiled them perfectly where they’re crunchy and subtly sweet. I do recommend a couple of hours for them to really plump up at times I do let them soak overnight when I know I’ll use them the following day. For me I have no reason to ever chop another carrot. This will be the only way I cook with carrots that need to be chopped. The best part I store them in a Ziploc bag in the cabinet no space taken up in my refrigerator and the freeze dried with the peak of their nutrition just waiting for you to eat them.

This is the second time that I have ordered this item. Tried first in March 2020 as one of several dehydrated vegetables to have on hand to use throughout the pandemic. By far the carrots by It's Delish was my favorite. As a dehydrated vegetable I don't think that you can comment on its freshness as is but once rehydrated the flavor is very good. I used the carrots in soups and stews but I like it best in ramen noodles. I even experimented by adding a small amount of rehydrated carrots to a microwave mug cake. It added a definite carrot flavor but they were too chewy. Next time I will have to rehydrate the carrots longer or actually cook them in water first so they can be mashed up. Considering how inexpensive fresh carrots are, these cost much more but you are paying for the convenience of always having carrots on hand. The first one pound bag lasted me well over a year and the one that I have just received has best used by date of June 2025. Well worth the price to me.

A wonderful product! I tried getting frozen carrots for years but all they had were gigantic zig-zag cuts that looked like they belonged in cheap Chinese food and SCREAMED frozen carrots. By contrast, these are a small dice and have a wonderful flavor - just like fresh. While I usually use fresh veggies, these are a valuable addition to the pantry. Keep in mind these are pure dehydrated carrots. They need to be cooked.I add them to the pasta water half way through cooking to make pasta primavera. Fabulous for soups.

Wow. I'm really impressed. I added some of these carrots to a soup and only added about 1/4 cup, but they have such a good, strong flavor that it over powered the soup, giving it a strong, sweet carrot taste. That means I'll only need to use very little amounts, which means more bang for your buck. More money up front, but it'll certainly go a long way!

I've had re-hydrated food before, and it wasn't terrible, but - not amazing. I got these carrots to reduce trips to the store during the pandemic. Made soup. Was shocked to find that they rehydrate to look and taste like actual carrots! I will buy this again and again. Now I only get fresh carrots for snacks for my kid.Two thumbs way way up.

Great nutritional carrot dehydrated!I will eat these as is for a snack, on top of my yogurt or sandwiches.The best thing about dehydrated it last longer than fresh shelf life only dehydrated is fresh without the water but nutrients are intact.

WELL THIS WAS A GOOD BUY FOR ME. I WANTED CARROTS NOT BITS. THE PACKAGE WAS A NICE SIZE AND CARROTS BRIGHT ORANGE. THE SHAPES ARE LIKE SLICES. I HAVEN'T TASTED THEM YET. BUT I EAT WITH MY EYES AND THEY LOOK DARN GOOD TO ME. I SAW OTHERS AND DIDN'T LOOK GOOD ENOUGH TO TRY. FAIR WARNING IF YOU WANT SMALL PEICES NOT THESE. THE PACKAGING WAS PRE SRUNK. THATS WHY I HAVEN'T OPEN THEM YET. I WILL SEAL THEM IN A NEW CONTAINER. DELISH CARROTS HAS A LARGER SIZE BAG. I MAY END UP GETTING ONE.

These dried carrots are awesome! I used them and the celery flakes in my pea soup and I loved it! When I normally prepare carrots for this recipe it takes up valuable time to get them peeled and chopped. These dried carrots came out moist and reconstituted and made my recipe perfect. Almost as good as moms! I originally bought this because I didn't want to have to go to the grocers during this time of Covid-19 and social distancing, but, I will be purchasing this again no matter what.
