Great chill
I got several of these for after my hip replacement. They were the perfect size and stayed cool for a really long time. I have not tried to heat them up, but that function is available too. The price was decent and the material was well constructed. The straps make it easy to wear and move around a little as needed.

Take it out of the freezer 30 minutes prior to using
After sitting in the freezer for a few days, this was not at all pliable and difficult to put on. It needs to soften or it can be uncomfortable. I fractured my hip and the other ice packs and frozen peas just were not convenient like this. I wrap a kitchen towel over both sides to absorb the drips it creates. The kitchen towels are the perfect size. Make sure the fold faces down or this will drip on your upholstered seating. Ice pack stays cold a very long time and was still frozen after over 30 minutes. I love that I have mobility while using this. I plan to use it on my back next. It is, however, the perfect ice pack for a sore hip. There is ample length on the strap for comfortable adjustment. I also like the fact I don't have to constantly fill a bag with crushed ice over and over again. This ice pack can be frozen again for about an hour and is ready to use right away after initial use. It only needs to sit out after a day or so in the freezer to soften. This is so convenient that I believe I will find many other uses.

Good product for the money!
The ice pack is stiff when first put on, but it hits all the right places. It does “sweat” as it gets warmer but so far that hasn’t bothered me. It’s comfortable to wear. It freezes back up in a couple of hours. For the price, it was a good find! I’d give it 5 stars if the straps design was a little better and it didn’t “sweat”!

Bought these for Hip Replacement recovery
These are excellent. I bought 4 for recovery after my hip replacement surgery & they're excellent. Way cheaper & easier/safer than a cold water circulation system.

Needs Improvement
The ice pack works. It is small and does not provide complete coverage, I am 6' 170#. Could be improved by being more flexible when frozen. The strap loops should have been sewn so they do not move/twist when stapping the bag to your hip.

Perfect for care after hip surgery
This is a very ergonomic ice pack for hips. Easy to put on and it stays on your hip and leg if you are moving around. The ice lasts for 30 to 45 minutes. It freezes quickly too.

Good, follow the guides on the product and tame your expectations.
1. This is not a cold compress, and doesn't claim to be2. This is an icepack that contours to your body3. You need to physically bend the product so it isn't stiff (this is the same for EVERY thing that freezes - it's a no-brainer).I have pain in my hip, in the hip flexors, on my IT band, and in the hip joint (snapping hip syndrome). This helped all of those.Additionally, this cold pack has many uses beyond the hip. I folded it in half and put the arc of the cold press behind my knee, and then the bands around the knee and it helped with my Lateral Hamstring Tendonitis. I've also done this for other areas of the leg (and on my back for shoulder blade pain).Cold/freezing length. If I have left this in the freezer overnight, it will stay cold for more than an hour. Right now I have it on my hip. I used it last night but didn't freeze it. It was warm this morning and I put it in the freezer (at 8AM). It's 1:53 now and the pack is cold, malleable, and thawing more than if I left it in overnight. With that in mind you can estimate: < 5hr for malleable or less length of cold / > 5hr for stiff and longer lasting cold. I prefer the latter, and the former is acceptable for the normal length you should be doing cold compresses.Obviously if you do this throughout the day you will be doing 30min or so increments, so throwing it back in the fridge and getting it a few hours later (after freezing it overnight) will be sufficient.
