The collection is good; the films are of mixed quality
This is a great collection for anyone looking to watch all the Paranormal Activity movies (or at least all of the ones released so far--there is at least one more currently in development as of this writing). In terms of value, I have no complaints about the collection. It offers a much better value than buying all the films individually, and the set itself is well-produced with each film given its own disc (and all well-secured inside the case). The films themselves, though, are of mixed quality, and I feel like I should offer a word or two about each.1: The first film is far and away the best of the series. Despite characters that are increasingly (but perhaps understandably) unlikeable throughout the movie's duration, it manages to be one of the most genuinely creepy films I've seen in a long time, which I attribute to a combination of its "found footage" format (which is so often done wrong but which is done well here) and its use of minimal effects and a "big bad" that remains off-screen and nondescript throughout.2: An odd film that takes place both before and after the original film, this entry into the franchise isn't as strong as the first one. It manages to continue and expand upon the franchise's mythology, but doesn't really deliver the scares as well as the original film, in part I think because in attempting to build a larger mythology, the filmmakers lost sight of the fact that it was specifically the unknown aspects of the evil that rendered the first film as scary as it was.3: The third installment, I think, is better than the second but still not quite as good as the first. It gains storytelling points for bringing us further back in time to answer some questions raised by the first two films, though it loses some "scary" points for exactly the same reason. While lighter on scares than the first film, it manages to still be a pretty creepy movie overall.4: The fourth film is where the franchise really starts to fall apart. Though a couple of the scenes attempt to capture some of the genuine creepiness of the original film (and almost, but not quite, succeed in doing so), the layering of more and more mythology and an increasingly convoluted backstory begin to tear the narrative apart, resulting in a movie that tries to go everywhere and ends up going nowhere.5: Arguably the fifth film has the least and least effective scares of the bunch. It also fails in that it leans heavily into the new mythology that largely ruined the fourth film. As a stand-alone, its plot is more cohesive and at least some of the characters are more likeable than many of the people who seem to inhabit this series, but it really feels like just an attempt to stretch the series out.6: The sixth and final (so far) movie is a welcome return to the "at home" horror pioneered in the first film, but the introduction of way too much CGI combined with the continued addition of new layers to the mythology already overburdened by the previous films proves a bit of a failure. It's still worth getting the entire collection, though. The first movie especially (and the first few to a lesser extent) did something rather extraordinary. Even the bad films later in the series are at least worth watching. In those cases, you might watch them only once, but the collection is so much cheaper than buying the films individually that it's still a better deal to buy this collection than to buy only the first couple and rent the rest.

Average movie bundle gets an average score
It's only 3 stars for me.Only the 1-2 movies were semi decent because of their blair witch style of handheld recording. No fancy special effects, just good old acting.3-4 is were it starts to get werid for a cam style movie because they start introducing special effects... which never work for a cam movie trying to be believable as possible but it's only a few here and there so it's not that distracting. And then 5-6 just don't really work at all making the cam style believable like I'm supposed to be convinced these people have portals casually poping up in their house..... Hum... No. That works better for a actual horror movie, not one that looks recorded from a cam. There is also no digital copies... Ya... It Sucks. So ya, 3 out of 5... It's just an average release.

Not quite what you would expect out of a horror movie.
Intense, but slow adaptation of the horror genre by subtly mixing what we expect as to what we fet from this series, which is a lite nod to the supernatural and yes the paranormal. The six movie series chronological release is not the same as the order in which the series is told.To watch them in order of story view them from 3,2,1,4,5,6.That being said it is a good and entertaining horror film with a lot to be admonished about the suspense which takes from normal to paranormal in a giddy realistic fashion.Personaly my favorite and scariest of the bunch is P.A. 4.Finished the film right at the end of the witching hour on Halloween night! What a rush!I recommend this edition but their might be a difference between this version and purchasing the movies singally due to possible bonus content and extras.Giving it a solid 4 star standing and worth a good sitting through.

Better than typical horror/suspense films.
Enjoy the real feel of these movies rather than slasher films. It's the best horror film since 'The Blair Witch Project' (1999). Leaves more to the imagination, suspenseful and the acting is effortless and believable. Good edge of your seat entertainment without overt sexuality, drugs or violence.

Paranormal Sextet
I won't say I'm the biggest fan of the Paranormal Activity, but I like it enough to buy the movies. And watch them regularly. I was glad they made a set for the 6 movies. But was mildly disappointed with it due to it not having digital (it was originally advertised as Blu-ray and Digital). Overall. it's nice to have all 6 movies in 1 set. And I do enjoy the series

Love it!
I absolutely love these movies. There’s one or two that were kind of meh but they aren’t terrible. Having the 6-movie collection is ideal and a great price considering it’s 6 movies. I’m a sucker for found footage movies. Why so many people hate them I haven’t a clue. A few of my discs had scratch marks on them but overall they played just fine.

Stick a fork in it! It's DONE!!!!
I'm done with this franchise. The storyline is not consistent. The makers of these movies insult the intelligence or the memory of their viewers just to keep the series going. I thought the fourth movie was the worst, not anymore. It's definitely the fifth installment. I read somewhere the seventh movie is in the making, but I'll be sure not to watch it.

Disappointed
Bought from the UK and a bit disappointed, the disks wouldn't play in my dvd player as they were the wrong format? So I'd be cautious when buying

Warning! This is a region 1 (U.S. disc)
As much as I would like to moan, it's my own fault for assuming this collection would be playable in my English DVD player but I can't. If you read carefully, it's region 1 and only plays on U.S. DVD players.Absolutely gutted.

Do Not Buy for UK
Wasnt clear this DVD would not play within the UK. It is listed in the small print should be more clear on UK site. Contacted the seller for a refund and was told would have to pay postage to America which would cost simialr to the DVD itself. Waste of money
