The color of the stones was very close in comparison with the product description photographs. The stones are polished, but there are nooks, crevices, and rough spots. The shapes and texture are more organic than completely polished. My half-pound bag contained 17 stones, and only one was completely smooth and polished on all sides. These stones are of mixed composition, so there is a wide array of colors intermixed from white to dark brown. In my photograph, I was able to turn and position them so the blue color of the stone is dominantly visible.
