Greatest stuff ever
I have done dozens of tile projects. Often the grout dries differently than the sample (usually lighter) or the color is not consistent throughout the whole project. So more times than not I have used grout colorant to fix the problem. Yes, it can take some time, but the finished product is well worth it. I have used it on new grout, and also on older grout that had previously been sealed. In the latter case, be sure to use the recommended cleaner first to strip out the old sealer. When doing the application of the colorant you can, and will, get it onto the tile. This is generally not a problem unless you are working with tiles that have textures, depressions, etc. In those cases the clean-up can be a bit more tedious. Follow the directions and you'll have no problem. The only place I stray from the directions is that in place of using a tooth brush I use a somewhat stiff art brush, about 1/4" across. I find it makes less mess. The clean-up directions say to use a white nylon scrub pad, but I have only been able to find green ones. I use the green Scotch Brite scour pads and they work perfectly. I keep a bucket of clean water handy and sponge off the area after using the scour pad.
