Great for the price.
Used for front spindle/hub for offroad buggy. Time will tell how the bearings are, but initial impression is great for the price. Would have given 5 stars but package was shipped without spindles and had to contact seller to reship them separately. To their credit (and why not 3 stars) they shipped the missing spindles without any added BS. Likely will buy again if needed for another project.

Just What The Fabricator Needed
I was debating about using a Harbor Freight trailer, ordering a custom cut/made axle assembly, or fabricating my own axle for a log splitter. Based on cost, I decided to build my own once I found this spindle hub set. Couldn’t come close to the cost savings by doing my own axle with this set. Yes there is welding required but any decent mig welder can do the job. Just measure and true the spindles, tack the spindle on opposite sides. Then recheck and confirm that the spindle is true and square before you go to town welding. Weld a bit side to side but don’t over heat the spindle. Once done welding, cleaning, and painting, the hub assembly is straight forward. Grease pack the bearings. Grease the rear hub area, set in the bearing, and the seat the rear dust cap. I recommend using a press to evenly seat the rear dust cap. Seating the rear dust cap by hand can work too but might dent the cap. The cap isn’t real thick. Slide the hub on, greased bearing, washer, tighten nut, insert cotter pin, and the put on exterior dust cap. Done! It’s that simple and it’s an affordable option when a custom axle assembly is needed. I will definitely be using this product again.

Needed a short custom axel
I turned an old 5.5 ft. box blade into a grader box for drive way leveling. 13 inch wheels and tires $160. Axel and spindle pair $86. A-frame trailer hitch $70. Steel $220 Learning to weld - Priceless.I could not find a short enough axel so I welded these stubs to a 4 foot steel bar with my MIG welder. The wheels are set 3 feet behind the blade and 3 inches inside the outer edge of the box blade. The frame, ball hitch to axel, is 10 feet long. The blade is raised and lowered by the tractor instead of by actuators behind the blade. The entire blade and frame weigh about 600 pounds. The arch in the frame is angled down in back to meet the axel height and down a bit in front so as to better capture the available lift of the tractor and raise the blade at least 7 inches high for transport. It works really well.Oh, and the best way to get the dust covers onto the hub is to use a piece of 2 inch sched 40 PVC pipe. It sits perfectly on the rim of the cover and allows you to keep the cover straight while you tap it in.
