My fridge is electronic. We have frequent power glitches here and sometimes when the power returns after a brief interruption it is often briefly unstable with alarming flickering. I like the idea behind this surge protector. If the incoming voltage drops too low or gets too high it shuts down and does not let the power flow back to the fridge for 3 after mains power is restored. It seems to me that is plenty of time to let the voltage stabilize and also prevents the compressor from trying to restart while it is still under pressure. I'm pretty sure my fridge has circuitry built in with all its advanced electronics to do about the same thing, but for the low price of this device it seems like cheap extra insurance.I know a bit about electronics and I'd say the interior of this device is about as good as I've seen. I'd like to see more robust components but this looks OK for the price. When the device operates normally, it has a green light. If the light is yellow it is restarting with the 3 minute delay. Remember that the power will not turn on to the fridge when you first plug this in. You have to wait for the yellow light to go off and the green light to come on. The two red lights are pretty useless. They are for under/over voltage and if they ever illuminate the device goes into restart mode immediately so the yellow light will prevail. Who can see all this anyway, since it is all behind the fridge? The green light is sufficient for me.I'd say go ahead and get this if you are a fussy worry-wart like me. An ounce of prevention, etc.

It was a little pricey, but we seem to have quite a few power surges in this area, but with this surge protector having a delay before it actually lets your appliance come back on I don't worry about our refrigerator anymore. Love it so much bought one for a friend too. Wish it wasn't so expensive, but still worth the peace of mind.

My whirlpool refrigerator electronic boards were damaged due to power surges. Repair tech strongly recommended I get this to protect from future surges.

A must have. You can save a lot of money by having on of this in your refrigerator. Protect your investments.

Our fridge is plugged into this device. The fridge has gone through several main board and inverter board replacements, usually failing during power outages. The main reason I choose this particular product is the delay power on feature. Normally when our power gets restored after a storm outage, it will flicker on and off several times in quick succession, this is horrible for electronics. Last week we had a brief voltage drop, enough to make all the lights flicker off, internet modem, cable tv boxes all started to reboot, oven clock, coffee maker clock reset to 12:00, fridge which the compressor was running at the time, stops and restarts immediately. Thankfully it was just one power flicker, but this surge protector is only 2 months old and is not performing as advertised. A drop that significant in voltage should have triggered the 2-3 minute power on delay feature, that way if there were any more power fluctuations the fridge would have been offline. Not that impressed anymore.

Mal producto no funciona se queda en modo espera cada 4 minutos es como si se reinicia intermitente y eso hace que se dañe el refrigerador, tuve que quitarlo y comprar otro de la marca steren cosa que no quería por ser productos muy genéricos y de baja calidad pero este si me funciona perfectamente , algo resaltar lo quise devolver y los gastos de devolución son por cuenta del cliente 👿 pague 399 por el artefacto y el costo de devolución cuenta 420 pesos 👿 mala experiencia debería a ver una calificación menos 5 estrellas .

Conecté mi refrigerador al protector y se apagó en poco tiempo porque el aparato se puso en rojo. Compré un medidor de voltaje (incluyo la foto aquí) y aunque el voltaje no es tan alto para que amerite ponerse en rojo, no funciona. Tengo otro protector de voltaje diferente y no sucede lo que con éste.Acabé devolviéndolo.

Lo compré para darle protección a mi Refrigerador y en un mes ya no servía. Pensé que no tuve luz durante la noche y por que abrí el refrigerador y no encendieron las luces habituales, hasta que comencé a revisar y me di cuenta que no servía el regulador. Tuve que conectar mi refrigerador directo a la corriente electrica. Ahí lo tengo botado por que el gasto fue en valde.

El aparato no emite ningun ruido y vino según las especificaciones. Y me llegó muy rápido.

Gracias a este aparato vimos que el conector del anterior refrigerador ya no servía y se cambió , vimos como si se ponía verde en otros ,finalmente se conecto en el refri actual pues el anterior sospechamos que lo daño el apagón del huracán Grace.
