WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR!!! MIRACLE FILAMENT!
Let me just say I've only been 3D printing for about a month now and this is by far, my favorite filament. I was a bit hesitant about trying any of the Ninjaflex family of filaments because of all the horror stories with extruding, but I took a chance and boy am I happy I did! Yes, I did try to extrude it with my stock extruder for my Flash Forge Creator Pro printer and yes, I was not successful, but that was expected because I'd read about it already. Undetered, I downloaded this replacement design from Thingiverse not knowing what the outcome was going to be. I printed both the left and the right hand ones and installed the left one. Though I was a bit nervous, let me just say, the design worked like a charm! No problems whatsoever from the start! Depending on the quality of your printer, you may have to do a little bit of sanding to smooth everything out so you have a nice fitting piece. Mine came out fine, but I did some sanding just to fine tune it. Let it be known, this was the first time I'd printed all solid layers (wanted a solid and sturdy part) which did present some curling issues on the edges for the base part. This was quickly remedied my printing a 4 layer by 4 outlines skirt with no gaps to hold down the edges to keep it from curling. Once that was resolved, my parts all came out great and the replacement went as planned. I'd like to give shout out to JFKansas for doing a great job with the design of the part. It works flawlessly. I'm able to extrude with no issues whatsoever at 30mm/sec. I haven't tried it, but I almost feel I could even go a bit faster. Of all the filaments I've used (ABS, PLA, PCTPE) Semiflex has got to be the best looking of the bunch! In all fairness, I'm sure if I'd print slower on the other filaments, I'd probably get similar quality, but in general, this filament has gotten me the most excited because of all the things I want to do really need something with rigidity but good flex as well. This is exactly what the doctor ordered! I love the look and the feel. It prints with a glossy shiny finish and the feel is solid as a rock. I sliced one of my prints up just to see how it bonded and boy was I impressed. You CANNOT tell that it was layered. It looks just like it had been made from an injection molded process. What I love about it is how strong it is. I took the cut part (circular) and bent it completely out of place and when I released, it came right back into place. Amazing stuff, this Semiflex! I've already ordered another roll in fire color and plan to order more. That's how much I like this stuff. As to the print settings, I'm printing at 225 C and my print bed is set to 40 C. I'm printing on a glass bed that has a bit of hair spray wiped on it, but I think it would stick just as well without. Adhesion has not been an issue at all for my Creator Pro printer. I love my Flashforge Creator Pro and this filament is like the icing on the cake! Two great products! Can't ask for anything more out of this filament! SUPERB, SUPERB, SUPERB!!!
