Still rocking strong over the years without any issues!
PS4! Great system. Love it. I have a had this for a few years now, and I am only now getting around to reviewing the system. It was a fantastic bundle deal at the time, and included a $50 value when you factor in the game that it comes with. The game isn't actually a physical copy. It is a downloaded title that plays without a disk. Unfortunately, with PS4, online play is no longer free and you have to subscribe to PS Plus to gain access now. This is disappointing, but I understand that maintaining servers is not free and they could not continue the free model. That being said, the graphics are pretty good and mostly look like what you would expect a next-gen system's graphics to look like. A lot of detail and very sharp rendering. It plays blue ray disks of course and comes with quite a spacious hard drive. They bundle in a wired headset, but really it can be sued with any Bluetooth headset device. The controller has a nice trackpad built in, which though I rarely use, is handy for selecting letters if you don't have a keyboard. I won't make the review too lengthy, because now that PS4 is old, most know what they are getting at this point, but I will say it has held up well over the years and I haven't had a single issue with it.

Really good for what it is.
Preorder came in on release date, as it was supposed to. I really like it for what it is. It's a great console, with really good, and good looking games. This came with the new 1215A console model. I'm not a fanboy, but The main reason I have stuck with Sony, is the controller layout. I like the new controller ok, but not as much as the DS3, especially because none of the uses for it I have seen in games so far, are anything that couldn't have just been done with the old controller. I don't really care for the fact that the Nathan Drake collection is digital only. Discs make it more convenient, especially with the size of games these days compared to the tiny hard drive in the console. I like the headphone jack in the controller, and I like the fact that it comes with a heaphone/mic combo that comes in handy cussing out the campers in COD. The only real disappointing thing about the PS4 in general, is the complete lack of access to the back catalog of PSN purchases. I have 50 pages worth the purchases, and only one of those is stuff that can actually be used on the PS4. Unfortunately I sold my PS3, so I no longer have access to all my other purchases. SO just like everything, there are pluses, and minuses, but I'm still happy with my purchase.

Eh, it's Playstation. You're Going to Get It or Not
To be honest we bought it more for the multimedia capabilities (to replace a Chromecast) than for the ga...oh, who am I kidding? I got it for my wife for her birthday because she loves the uncharted series. To wit:Good - it's Playstation. So you know it's good. Sorry, Sega, you had your chance - now into the pit with you.Bad - it's Sony. Really, guys, you couldn't do backwards compatibility? And charging full price in the PS4 stores when I can get it cheaper physical? AND after nearly three years an anemic amount of games?Chances are, if you're on the page, your mind's already made up.

Well worth the money. Love all the new details and thought put in to this system.
Was quite excited to get the ps4. I couldn't wait to get out of box. Love the display that comes up on home screen. One problem i had was figuring out how to hook up second controller to play game. Soon realized you have to have 2 accounts one primary and guest. Click opposite account on other controller. The size is great slimmer then the ps3. Love the front load of CD disk goes right in. On the PS3 was hard to shut and wouldn't latch all the time would have to re-close several times. The graphics are very impressive noticed that right off the bat. There is big difference in the picture quality in games. I could barley see on uncharted games was so dark during playing on ps3. I couldn't recognize what part of game my husband was playing on the 4 because quality was so much better i could see the details so good. Only other complaint i have is on the controller to plug in and charge is kinda hard to get in and can see this being a problem with breaking if not really careful . Controllers do fit nicely in hands and makes for easy game play. Did take a bit to figure out all the buttons.

Poor Bluetooth Connectivity
Very disappointed. The bluetooth connectivity in the PS4 is far worse than the PS3. I have placed the new unit in the exact location as my previous PS3. PS3 worked perfectly there, but with PS4 I get tons of lag, buttons on the controller don't work etc. I was expecting so much more, they used a newer bluetooth standard, in my pea brain I thought it's got to be even better. Also, your old bluetooth remote from your PS3 doesn't work. The PS4 has a neat headphone connection! Can't use it because that makes the bluetooth connection even worse. Wanna play with headphones on while your lady watches Downton Abbey on her iPad? No sir. Also, get ready to shell out $25 for a new remote that works for PS4 that has horrible reviews when the original on the PS3 worked great. I'm 40. My wife doesn't want to look at my Nofrendo system any more. I have to hide it. Frankly, I'm 40! I don't want people to see my Nofrendo system!! I'm such a loser. Hopefully some other old nerd who has his PS3 tucked away in a closet so his wife and any other adults don't have to bash on him for being a total dork reads this and may have 2nd thoughts about PS4... Look elsewhere on the internet, and you will see others with this same grievance.
