I have several different shop type LED lights installed around the house. Bought 4 of these, two for the bike shop and two for the work shop. In warmer weather I would recommend only turning these on when you need them and once done be sure to turn them off. The brightness on these is outstanding but at 100W they run so hot they [might?] actually be a fire hazard. Just installed two 8’ units in the garage [totally different brand of light] left them on, on a 90 degree day for hours and they were just warm. These 4’ units are actually brighter than the 8’ units I just installed [different brand] but it appears there is a price to be paid as far as heat. Honestly they are scary hot for LED lights, and I will be permanently removing the plastic covers to give them some air to see if they will run a little cooler. In fairness they have been left on all day [before I realized how hot they run] and they still work fine. The plastic covers have warped so bad from the heat there is no point keeping them on and obviously some cooling is needed.EDIT: I contacted the manufacturer and explained the heat issue. With no hesitation they shipped 4 new lights and I didn’t even need to return the old ones. I highly recommend these folks for your lighting needs because not too many companies back their products like this.

There's no dimming it. There's no changing the type of light. It's crazy bright. Hung it over the den workbench that doubles as a work-from-home desk. I can't hardly use the computer and monitor under it. Way too bright for that.Absolutely amazing as a workbench light. It's great. I love it. Kind of want to replace my garage workbench light with one of these now.Would have been nice if the chains came with hangers of some sort. Chains are way too short too. Ended up buying some cheapo nice looking birdfeeder hanging chains and ceiling hooks. Worked great. So -1 star for easy to install, as the short chains and no hanging hardware were a letdown.Actually, let's take -2 stars for easy to install, simply because you can't easily open the thing up and put a longer cable on it. Kind of silly design there. Shop light type stuff should be easy to customize. Keeping 5 stars for everything else though with an overall of 4. A not-so-crazy-bright dimmed mode would be great, but hey, it's a cheap super bright light, and probably worth that 5th star. Let's call it "overall: 4.5 stars".It does run pretty hot. Within 5 minutes of it being on, the ceiling above it went up a whole degree. After 10 minutes on, it was up another degree. After ~10 minutes of being on, top of the light reads 130 degrees (all farenheit). It's too hot to hold comfortably after 10 minutes of being on. More reason I justify removing an overall star. Still, great light, especially for the price.TL;DR?In summary. It's cheap. It's super light-weight. It far exceeded my hopes for brightness to the point it's almost too much, do wish it had different settings for brightness. It's a simple solution for needing lots of light for a workbench type application and absolutely worth the price.

I bought one to replace a failing LED shop light (different brand) and have since bought two more. These puppies are very bright! They do get warm, but that's the only slight drawback I have found yet. Take off the plastic diffuser for the full lighting power.

This light is quite bright--adds a lot of light in the space where it was installed. However, it is fairly flimsy. I don't have any other lights of this type to compare it to so take this into account. I use it in my garage and only occasionally so it's okay--it's out of the way. The fixture is lightweight and easy to install, but the plastic lens that goes across the bottom is either not cut to fit or just doesn't sit flat inside the space. It doesn't affect the way the light works so it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Just a heads up to anyone that might be using these in a more formal location or if this sort of thing bugs you. (Also for the manufacturer in case it's a defect.)

These worked perfectly in my workspace. Would be nice if I could have linked them together but they worked well for my application.************Update. It's been 2 years since I installed three of these fixtures.One of them quit working and I replaced it with another of like kind.I certainly hope the replacement lasts longer than that.I have downgraded these fixtures because of an early failure.The warranty states they're good for 5 years.I thought it easier to merely trash the defective unit and purchase a new one.I may be a glutton for punishment here, but I wanted all the fixtures to match.

For our use in a regular home garage, it's brightness is actually kind of annoying. I imagine if it was mounted higher up in a warehouse ceiling you probably wouldn't be looking too much at the fixture itself, but our ceiling is only 8 ft, and the instructions say to hang it a minimum of 3 inches down from the ceiling. It's like having a sun in your eyes.And, I like the design and light weight, but it hangs crooked to one side, like whatever's in there is not balanced, since my cord needs to go a certain end, it's tricky to cast the light more into the corner where I need to see.

This light is amazing and I wish I could buy more, but I seem to have purchased the last one available. Hopefully more come in stock because I'd love to buy a companion to the one I already have! This light outshines all other tubes in my garage, but I can't emphasize enough. I love this level of illumination. It brings a feeling of joy when I realize just how well lit the space is at 10k lumens. I followed some formula for calculating how many lumens I need for the square footage in my 2 car garage, and I came up with 10k lumens multiplied by six fixtures. This was the only light of its kind I was able to find, on or off amazon at the 10k lumen rating. I love it for the quality, illumination and price.....and I want moreeee!

I have had this light for 1 year and 9 months and it burnt out, and it's not on 24/7. So maybe half the life span advertised. It is really bright though. I don't feel ripped off but definitely disappointed.

Put two in my garage and two in my shop, very bright. Just what I needed.

We bought one of these lights, installed it, and loved it. Ordered another and it was defective; sent it back, asking for a replacement. The replacement was labeled "undeliverable" and I contacted an Amazon rep through chat to have another sent in its place. The chat link to get our second replacement was not easy to find but I persisted and finally found it. The replacement light arrived and it's excellent as the first light was. Glad to finally have our second light installed!

This is a beautiful light, however, due to the 100W bulbs, this light does give off alot of heat. I cannot use it during the summer time because my garage is already warm enough. Make sure you have a big enough work space or a portable A/C if you plan to use this on the regular in the garage.Side Note: This is a replacement for the first light I purchased which was damaged during shipping. The vendor replaced it immediately no problem. I was also easily able to return the broken item to Kohls. Win-Win Situation.

These are fantastic lights! Cheap, bright, decent color temperature (leans slightly warm of daylight), and work well. I have purchased several for my utility room and garage and even use one as a grow light for my wife's succulents (mounting height about 12"-14"). The only down side is that they get very hot so be cautious about touching them or mounting them in some way other than with a standoff chain. I have purchased several units in different batches over the last year or so. One arrived DOA, but it was simple to return through Amazon and another arrived a few days later. I will definitely be buying these again when I need more.

Cost effective, very bright white even light, lightweight and easy to install. Bought to illuminate a work table used to repair medical equipment with small parts. I really love it! To me, it looks like my bench is lit by a sunny window. Unit is very lightweight so I just strapped it to my shelf with zip ties. Straight on it reads about 100,000 lux and from 30 inches on white paper about 75,000 lux. Brightness drops off fast with distance, so put it as close as possible to your work.
