I enjoy tea frequently, but usually do not finish my cup. Once the bottom of the cup gets cold I generally abandon it. I also enjoy a bit of a routine ritual, if it is a ‘saltine cracker’ experience then I am going to crave it about as much as a cracker. Not that I am high maintenance, quite the opposite - if it is difficult I will also avoid it. These little cups exactly what the doctor ordered, almost literally, as I am instructed to drink more fluids by my doctor and these help encourage me to do so. My nine-year-old son partakes with me and enjoys his blue cup. The design is simple and very effective, the outer cup creates A double wall lining affect to insulate the heat which does two things, keeps the tea warm while it steeps and protect your hand from Hot ceramic. The bead on top of the lid helps you hold the lid down so that the teabag or tea leaves don’t come out while you pour and you don’t burn your finger trying to hold on a hot lid. For being so simple it is very beautiful, and at first impression seems very delicate but it’s not as fragile as I thought. Very easy to clean!Great for Gaiwon tea services or English tea. I like to set my cup ready to receive the hot water on a tray and a pitcher of hot water, that way I can refill my cup to start a new steep as I’m enjoying my 1st cup.Simple. Beautiful. Elegant. Accessible. Practical. Versatile. Unique. Perfect.

This little tea set is so adorable!! And works beautifully. It’s so pretty to look at and makes you slow down just for a bit and enjoy that cup of tea. You can’t help but admire it and for a moment just enjoy the quiet !!! Love this little tea cup

Bought the pink one, although the blue and yellow are also cute.Pros:-The color is a lovely soft rose. In person, it’s as good as it looks online.-It’s a cute little “pot” of tea to sip when I want a small/mindful experience, or just a single cup to enjoy as I please to pour.-It has a really lovely touch, very smooth to my fingertips. The bead on top that you use to hold down the lid also doesn’t feel weak/cheap.The cons:-Barely holds 6oz. I knew it held very little, but I didn’t realize that 6oz was going to overflow the lid slightly whenever I made a “pot” of tea. I’m always worried about spillage with the first pour because of that.-From reviews, I knew I’d have to hold the hold the lid down quite firmly to keep the liquid from leaking everywhere, however, it still dribbles down the side quite often when I pour a cup.-Agreeing with other reviews, it can feel quite warm to the touch when the hot water is fresh, so it helps to be prepared for that.All in all, it’s cute and I like it, despite its problems. Reading the reviews helped me to be prepared for the issues I faced but for one. I do wish I’d understood how little it held before my purchase, but that’s on me. This tea-for-one set is still fun for a small or deliberately mindful experience, and I’d get it again. Still considering getting the other two colors so I can mix and match the lid, “pot,” and cup at my leisure.

I'm a tea enthusiast and have purchased MANY different styles of tea brewer. This one is cute but not my favorite. The worst problem is that the pitcher gets HOT while the tea is brewing. It's too hot to hold and pour comfortably. Second, there's nowhere to set the pitcher after you've poured the tea into the cup. On most brewers like this, you can invert the lid so it acts like a saucer you can set the filter on. The round bead on top of the lid on this one prevents that. The brewing chamber on this one is a closed pitcher, not a filter, so the bottom stays mostly dry. So it's not as important to have a saucer. Still, if there are drips, it would be nice if the lid served as a saucer.This is cute, and probably ok for occasional use while traveling. But I wouldn't buy it again, mostly because of how hot it gets, and therefore how uncomfortable it is to pour from.

I got this for my 5 yr old niece who loves tea parties. She wanted a more grown up tea set. She loves adding her own leaves and making her own tea. I add the hot water and I tell her to wait. The cup gets hot fast so once you pour the hot water you will have to wait a bit before you pick it up. But the outside cools off fast so she can pour it within minutes.

I ordered another gaiwan off Amazon, but it came broken. This was my second choice and I’m so glad I was forced to try it!!! It’s the perfect size for a quick brew. I only wish it was a little more insulated. You have to watch the top piece it will fall apart if it loosens.

Great size for kongfu tea. Nice and simple design. Unfortunately it’s impossible to hold the sides of the pot to pour tea out because the surface of the teapot gets too hot.

This is such a nice cup. It feels wonderful in the hand. The tea is pleasing in the cup. And the lid strains the tea leaves perfectly.I only wish it came with a little padded pouch to protect it when I bring it with me!I’ve even purchased one as a gift!

It is freakin hot the whole teapot. It is so cute, lovely design but don’t recommend it.
