LOVE!!!! (Assembly information)
Love this desk! Packaging was perfect. Only one very small chip on the glass. That's better than I expected. Honestly thought I might find the glass cracked in pieces. There were no instructions. However, I found a one page assembly sheet online, which helped. (Just Google Lumisource Avery Desk and you will find it.) And I will walk you through it now. I also read reviews of the desk on Amazon. (Read those - good advice with regard to the screws and a potential blistering issue. My desk came with the correct length screws.) Delivery was earlier than expected and I hit the FREE delivery choice on my order!1) Open box and content carefully. The heaviest piece is the glass piece at the bottom. Open box FLAT!2) Open little bag of screws, washers, wrench, etc. Be sure they are all there. You may find extras.3) Hairpin legs - longer legs go on end that does not have that little niche, short legs go on the niche end. The legs that appear more slanted go in the back.4) Be sure to wipe off the wood (it's very nice wood) and wipe off the glass before you put this altogether because it's difficult to do once the glass is in place as it's secured with screws.5) Assemble legs - be sure that your screws are not too long and do not go through the top of the desk, as warned by another buyer. Before you completely tighten them, put in two at each leg and turn the desk over to be sure that the legs are in the right place and your desk is not rocking. (If it rocks, be sure your legs are in the right place. This should not be an issue.)6) Put in rest of leg screws. (Order of assembly, legs touch desk, washer than screw.) I'm trying to make this easy for you!7) Wipe desk top and glass before putting them together.8) Large bolts go into the glass where the small silver squares are furthest from the edge. (Look them over now to see what I mean.) This side goes into the side of the desk that does not have the niche.9) When lowering the glass on top of the wood, have someone help out - put gloves on or use cloth in both hands to avoid finger prints.10) Lower the glass with the bolt side a little lower than the niche side so that you don't scrape the wood.11) Then secure all of the bolts on either side.12) Then you're done! Good job!I hope this helps. This is a really pretty desk. The color of my wood is about a medium brown, not too light, not too dark. Like I said, I love it. Any questions, just let me know! I hope you enjoy your new desk.I bought the Armen Living Daphne Modern Chair to go with it. Matches perfectly. It's a vintage Charles Eames style design - modern, yet retro. This particular chair might be out of stock, but there are others like it that will match. Having the two match is nice for resale if you move and want to sell later, but you're gonna want to keep this stuff!

Nice modern mid century style desk
Great looking desk. It looks just as good in person as in the product pictures. It's a reasonably good quality for the money. You do get actual wood, metal and glass and not fake plastic/composite/paperboard materials made to appear as wood, metal and glass like many of today's modern products. The packaging was wholly sufficient to protect its journey with a heavy outer carton, over an inner carton which had yet another thick inner carton for the glass top and loads of styrofoam (which I do wish they would use alternatives) to keep it from being damaged.CON: It was however almost totally spoiled during assembly by the included bolt hardware. The included bolts are too long for fastening the table legs to the wooden top. If you use those included it will cause the top layers to bubble and or split if you tighten them adequately. I unfortuneatly caught this the hard way, as I was assembling the desk upside down as one would do. Lucky I was able to 'pop' the blister back down after getting some more appropriate sized bolts.Otherwise, the legs would not be securely fastened with far too much play to be safe. Do yourself a big favor and have some M6x1.5cm bolts ready, or LOTs of extra washers to use as spacers.Overall I am happy with this desk and I would buy it again.

Worth the money, very happy. Tall as a kitchen table, and more than enough room width and lenth wise.
Other than a couple of light specs on the wood, it's a perfect desk. I listened to the other reviews about having extra washers on hand. You will need to use 1 or 2 per screw.

Love it.
Wish it was a little bit larger but it looks just as nice (probably better) in person than it does online. Has a very solid, thick, piece of glass and the wood was finished well. No obvious seems or cheap veneers peeling off like I was worried about. My only complaint is about the instructions. Really lazy and just wrong in some parts. I didn't know the glass had to be installed facing a certain direction because the glass has a slightly longer overhang on one side. so I needed to take it off and put it back on again.

Highly recommended, mid-century modern with a twist!
I love this desk. It's mid-century modern with a twist. It looks and feels well made. The FedEx delivery weight said it was 93 pounds, so it is heavy. I was able to put it together myself because I didn't want to wait, but I highly suggest using two people if possible, especially with the glass top.Thankfully the actual desk's box was inside another large box because the outside box was damaged during shipping, but the interior box and all parts were undamaged. Assembly was easy, but instead of the included tools I used a power screwdriver. Just don't over-tighten. The result is a sturdy, solid desk. I imagine that cleaning in between the tight space between the glass and desk will be challenging and will probably require compressed air.One thing I should mention is that the wood looks a lot darker in person than it does in all of the product photos I have seen. See the photo that I attached. This is a great desk and quite a conversation piece! Highly recommended.
