I bought this corkscrew because I grew tired of cutting the cork using a typical corkscrew's knife. It is super easy to use and efficient at removing the heavy foil wrapping that encases the cork. No more knicks on my fingers or frustration with using the typical corkscrew knife. And the berry pink color is unique and fun. The product also sells in black for those who prefer less flash.

This is the only type of wine opener we use unless it's an old cork where we have to use an A-So. Every wine drinker should keep this in their house. I ordered this in this color as our travel wine opener.

We've had similar style of corkscrew in the past and after a while they have twisted while opening a particularly stubborn cork. Not this one; we've had it for 9 months and have used it nightly. Still like new.

After my last corkscrew got confiscated at the airport (because of the foil removal blade), I hunted for a TSA-compliant one. This turns out to be the best wine bottle opener I've ever had, period.It has no blade. To remove the foil on a bottle of wine, simply slide open the end of the handle, snug it over the top of the bottle & rotate a couple of times. Concealed discs slice the foil off cleanly & quickly.Simple, inexpensive, elegant & effective. And did I mention it's air travel-safe (at least here in the USA)?

Much easier to use than a blade foil cutter

I searched to find a quality opener. It said made in Italy and bosted how well its made. It wasn't inexpensive. It arrived and there was absolutely no indication of it being made in Italy and it looks and feels like an opener sold at dollar general.

I have bought 3 of these for myself and my family. This is the best "waiter's corkscrew" I have used and my first choice to remove wine corks among other devices I own (including a Rabbit which works nicely). The foil cutter works with a 1/4 turn in both directions. The geometry of the lever is perfectly balanced for easy extraction while providing full contact of the corkscrew within the cork. It is not hard to pull, so I would think those with arthritis or weak hands would find this a welcome relief. There are many lesser imitations and similar looking pullers out there, so be sure to choose this brand and name.I would recommend this to anyone who struggles with cork removals. Get past the cork removal to the wine without trauma, . . .

This is one of the best wine openers I've ever owned. I can cut foil in 1 second without worrying about my fingers. The opener also seems to have better leverage than your average opener that looks similar, making it easier to extract the cork.
