Not OEM but close enough
It does work but one end is permanently closed. It ends up being ok but the product description does not mention that as far as I could see. That is the reason I gave for stars. I am left with a piece (that came with the 6 gallon shopvac to screw the original filter on) that will be setting on the shelf. Again not a big deal but....

Dump the name brand.
I bought these because the Shop Vac brand filters I've been using for years suddenly got crappy. I do a lot of wet suctioning, and previously they would hold up for 3-4 uses, drying out in between. The current materials are no longer sturdy enough to survive more than one use, and at $15+ at Ace Hardware, not economical either. At 2 for $20 something, these are a better deal even if they failed after one use...which they haven't.

Works but not what I expected
Listing says it fits 5 gallon and up and while that’s technically true, it didn’t fit my 5 gallon the way the original did. Original goes on and it’s screwed down, this one covers entire housing and is pushed on. I’ll probably look for one more OEM next time..

Pat close attention to what you re replacing !!
These say they are replacement for the model number on my vacuum. They are not exact replacements. They fit, but they are only open at one end and the twist retaining ring will not fit. They work for a while then fall loose from the intake. They'r open on one end and enclosed on the other with a metal plate.

Check to see if the filters you buy have rubber on both sides
Unless my (brand new switched reluctance) Shop Vac is made differently from all the others, these don' really "fit." The ones that came with my vacuum have rubber on both ends. These don't have rubber on both ends and are closed on one side so the big screw cap that keeps the filter sealed tight at the bottom can't be used. They leaked around the bottom.

Fits all my shop vacs has solid end where you usually have to have the black piece to secure the filter(makes the black piece unnecessary)

Better than original
I have a 2.5 gallon wet/dry vac. They are bigger than the original filter, but fit perfectly. They stayed on my friction.

It fits and works
This is a replacement that fits my shop vac but not an "exact" replacement. It is held in place by the pressure of the seal and time will tell if it will stay in place. It does have more pleat material than the original and the pleats are closer together which should allow the collection of dust and dirt to fall off rather than build up on the filter.
