New and Improved Nortel Call Pilot 100 Call Pilot 150 Voice mail Power Supply 8VDC, 1.5A with Cord, Replaces OEM Model# A10W-08121 P/N A0517863, A0838158

We used this to replace the failing unit that came with our Call Pilot 150 Voicemail system. It's been a week now and zero problems.So far, so good.

I would like to think this one is new and improved. But only time will tell if it works for a long time.How about the unit itself?First it has a SHORT power cord. The old one had 4-feet to the power brick, 4-inch power brick, then 4-ft 8-inches to the end of the connection. That is almost 9 feet of cord. THIS ONE has only 4-ft 8-inches total. (not counting the useless 7-inch extension-see below) Had to find an extension cord or a power strip. Will not reach the power outlet that the original PS plugged into.THEN - this comes with a 7-inch extension from a straight plug to an 90-degree plug.Take the ext off and throw it away. It is too big and does not fit the call pilot connection properly.I plugged it in and no power. Then I touched it. Power - no power - power - no power. Throw that thing out.At least the straight end seems to fit better.....so far.The big test is: How long will it last?

It did exactly what it was supposed to do and was very easy to install.

Chord replaced an old one for the Nortel phone system. It arrived yesterday and is working. Time will tell whether it will last as many years as the first one did.Based on previous reviews, there was a concern about the length. The length is adequate. The only reason for 4 stars is that I do not know how long the product will last.
