Avatar: The Last Airbender - Smoke and Shadow Part One

Great story, great art
I really love this and I can't wait for the next two books. I'm a really big fan of Avatar and this book lives up to the Avatar name. The plotline is great, and I like how it focused on the Fire Nation more and less on the other main characters (Aang, Toph, Katara, Sokka, etc.). But I'm also happy that in the next book, Team Avatar will be back. I would also like to mention the artwork. The art is amazing and I absolutely adore it. Gurihiru is amazing! I hope the next books get even better! Definitely a five star book that I would recommend to anyone that is a fan of Avatar!

Great story (spoiler)
After binge watching the entire Avatar: the last air bender and now reading what happened after; I just keeps getting better. I'm wondering (hoping) the Mai and Zuko get back together, but after reading some stuff online it looks like they won't in the books. In Legends of Korra the fire "lady" of the time is suppose to be Mai and Zuko's kid. So something happens. But, it's not 100% clear.

Great writing, great art, great character development
The story is interesting, I can't wait to see what happens next!Everyone felt in character. Mai and Ty Lee's relationship is great, becoming Fire Lord really hasn't changed Zuko one bit (he's still as ernest and unsubtle as ever, poor kid), Suki was her usual awesome self, and we're learning more about the culture and history of the Fire Nation. The art is great - emotions are visible but not over the top, the fights are beautiful.

Great books!
Love it! Beautiful art as well. I love that these stories continue the universe and storyline of the series. I love seeing the plot holes being closed and the characters continue to develop.

such an awesome tease.
the overall concept of this is great. but it is such a tease, the story line is way to fast paced. and i finished reading it (including staring at the pictures) in about 1 hour. the tv series just sets a high bar for it, and i think the comic books have done the best they could. and it turns out great, so it is for sure worth reading.i just feel like they are kind of dragging it out a little bit. i mean they will stop producing the comic books when it stops making money, rather than trying to make it worth while to read.but over all its just to short, it leaves me wanting more than the 76 pages of the material. and that is the creators plan so the reader has to wait and buy the next book. and it worked on me.

Makes me want to see this animated
Don't get me wrong. I liked LOK, but I still think this would have made a better sequel series. It takes all the charm from the original and keeps it going.

I love Zuko & this series is best.
This series really puts out the difficulties Zuko has to face through because of the problems his disgraceful exfather created.
