No slip and great width for all kinds of workouts

If (like I was) you were looking for a wider-than-average yoga mat, there aren't many options around. This is 3 times the price of most regular mats but I gave it a shot. Worth every rupee so far (a month or so). First off, straight out of the packaging, it doesn't smell. Is this a big deal? To us, it is. One of our other mats had that chemical-herbal smell which was so strong it stank up the room for 6 months! A year later it still smells when you are close enough to it. This one is totally odour free. Secondly, its a very comfy pad with just enough 'sink in' to keep your bony extremities pain free, while still providing support. Thirdly, it doesn't slip and slide like a lot of other pads do. The width is excellent if you even want to spread your legs and do weights on it (which I do). Most regular mats are too narrow to do much of anything other than yoga unless you want to keep turning sideways. The only downside on this is I'm noticing a wee bit of stretch. Its not enough to bother you on most things but its a bit of a challenge when doing a plank. Over the course of the plank you find your body stretching out more and more so you have adjust. On the whole, decent buy although I'm not sure how making a mat which is 50% wider equates to 3X the cost of a regular mat. But hey, you get what you pay for I guess. I would give it 4.5 if Amazon allowed me to but in the absence of it, I'll give it a 4.

I received it well packed & in time.The mat is thicker & wider than a regular yoga mat. The material is rubber & feels more durable than a foam mat. It does not skid while doing exercise on it.For price charged, a bag could've been provided to hold the rolled up mat. The belt is not exactly easy to use & feels clumsy. One star less for not providing a suitable bag.

Good. But in this size which is bit larger than standard size available in plenty of very good quality, the pricing is fairly too high. I would say unreasonably too high. Standard size available in plenty are 180x60x0.6 to 1cm. For this the pricing ranges from Rs.600-1000. This one is 186x92x0.6cm and priced at Rs. 2199/-. Do you think for the difference of 6x30cm extra and that too it is not 1cm thick but only 0.6cm thick, the difference of Rs. 1000/- is worth. Since in 3 ft wide mat category there are no much choices so pricing is too high. Then to do all asanas you need 3 ft wide mat, so choice rest with you.
