Product count!?
This review pertains to the packaging, not to the actual product my dogs love. I have two 50-pound dogs. They each get a chew after their dinner. Three bags of approx 30 chews each should last around 45 days. The last three I ordered and used lasted 33 days. No one in the house admitted to giving the boys any extra chews. I ordered three bags again. Upon receipt, I opened them and counted the contents of each. The bags contained 19, 20 and 24 chews for a total of 63. In no way did those bags contain approx 30 chews each. In fact, they contained what you might expect two bags to hold. I called the manufacturer and was told there had been some other complaints. The rep took the lot number that was on the bags and said she would let their quality control department know. She did say they filled bags be weight, not by count. Therefore I realized the much larger thicker chews cause the shortage in some bags. I don't mind paying a little more for a product my boys enjoy, but I do expect a more accurate product count as stated on the bag. Size and weight should not matter. The rep also said she couldn't do anything since I didn't purchase directly from the company. That I should contact Amazon. I hope Virbac gets it's act together and resolves this issue through their quality control department. Simply be aware of what you might be receiving for your money.

Great chews for our GSD but fewer quantity than supposedly packaged
These dog chews work well for our GSD girl, keeping her teeth fairly clean. And she loves them. The problem is the quantity in the latest shipment -- should be a count of 30 in each of the 3 bags, right? In this latest shipment, two bags had 25 chews and one bag had 20. Not sure if this is a fluke, like a one-time miscount, or if it's going to be an ongoing issue. I won't be assuming 30 chews in a bag anymore, but honestly not sure how to handle getting fewer chews than promised. If it's a pattern, buyer beware.

NOT "Approximately 30 chews"
As many others have reported, these bags do NOT contain approximately 30 chews. The chews are the evening treat for each of my three dogs. When I received my last order, I weighed each bag (which is supposed to weigh 12 ounces) and counted the chews therein. Two of the bags each contained 18 chews, and weighed 14.2 and 14.4 ounces, respectively. The third bag contained 21 chews and weighed 15.4 ounces. As these chews are sold by weight, I did technically get my money's worth. However, when I expect the three bags to last about 30 days for my three dogs but run out by day 18-or- 19, I have a canine crisis. Just be aware that these are sold by weight (12 ounces), but that you are getting far less than "approximately 30."

Really helps to keep your dog's teeth clean.
Our dog likes these crews. The treats were recommended by our Vet. I usually purchase them in the 3 bag bundle. In their description they say they average 30 pieces per bag. We have found they are packed by weight not the number of pieces. Most bags we have received fall short of the 30 pieces. The last order received contained the lowest counts per bag - 1 bag of 20 pieces, 1 bag of 23 pieces, and 1 bag of 24 pieces. This is probably the lowest count we have found in our orders. Just be aware that the 3 bag bundle does not equate to a 90 day supply.

Very closely supervise your dog chewing on these!
Well I am not going to taste this product but my dog seems to like the taste. As for longevity, these chews scare me to death. My dog tried to swallow the slimy chew. Definitely, supervise your dog very closely or you may have a hefty vet bill. I initially had these on Subscribe and Save. Turned that off immediately and will order a different product. No scent that I could determine. And no, I do not have Covid. My sense of smell is working fine🤓

Product is loosing its consistent valu
I have ordered this product in this configuration for a few years now. I was very pleased until the last shipment when there are several very large heavy thick pieces and then some exceeding small thin ones. It says there are approximately 30 pieces there were exactly 19---so not close. I like to give my dog one each day---but can't afford to do that when they come with this inconsistent quality control. I have no way to cut the large thick pieces and apparently you don't either.

Choking Hazard
Lots of good reviews, so my dog is apparently the exception, but we had to pull this chew from his throat w/ a pliers to stop him from choking. After gnawing on the chew it turned rubbery (think tough lasagna noodle) and he swallowed it fortunately leaving the still hard end in his mouth so we could pull it out.

16 Chews in a bag of 30 (3 bags, all had 16 chews!) Terrible!
Bag says "approximately 30 chews.) I used to count them, and in the past, they have always had 30. The last order (on subscribe and save) had 16 chews in each bag. Excuse me, I know I learned math a long time ago, but it seems to me that is about half of what they advertise. Price keeps going up, chews keep getting smaller, and now the bag comes with half of what's "approximately" advertised. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!
