The directions say to spray with water, but water and Dawn dishsoap REALLY works best. I had no issues with installation. No bubbles after scraping the film. I noticed in one of the Q&As that you're supposed to cut your film 1/16th inch less on each dimension to assist with getting the water out from behind the film. I recommend that as well. The directions don't give that guidance, and I feel following them might lead to some heartache. So! Dawn Dishsoap and water in your spray bottle. Lightly spray the window AND the back side of the film. One-sixteenth inch shorter on the true dimensions and done!

The media could not be loaded.  We recently moved across the street from a playground on a main walking road and my beagle, who has been in only homes that have no foot traffic, has been on bark patrol to let us know everyone is walking by. All day long.Another problem is, ya know, privacy. Our home backs up to the mirror image of another home and with all the foot traffic + cars, I don’t feel comfortable with leaving the blinds open. So I opted for this stuff and by golly it’s made such a difference.I have the “silk transparent” and love it! It lets in the exact same amount of sunlight without peeping eyes (and it even diffuses the light for better photos). Plus, now I can walk around in my underwear at night without worry of who’s getting a show.Overall, VERY happy customer. It wasn’t incredibly difficult to install but definitely follow the directions.

I purchased 3 rolls. Two were fine but the third had wrinkles closest where it was rolled on the paper tube. I think the tube is too small and caused deep wrinkles.I layed it out over night, hoping they would flatten out. I installed it hoping they would smooth out. They did not and still are raised and visible. See photos.Not happy that the website does not give the option to receive credit. I spent a long time installing it and do not have time to return it, wait for another shipment, and then reinstall it.If you receive a roll with wrinkles, do not attempt to install it. It will look terrible.

I used this at an apartment building we own for the ground floor units, where the windows are at street/ sidewalk level. The tenants wanted privacy without leaving shades down all of the time. This is the perfect solution. They still get lots of light, but this provides complete privacy; no one can see in.It was super easy to install. Our windows aren't 100% square (it's an old building) and it was easy to trim. I had to use two to three pieces for each window (they're big windows): the seams are easy to do and not that noticable. I noticed on one window with 2 pieces, side by side, that there does seem to be a 'grain', so I made sure on the others that I used the same cut edge (either top or bottom) of the roll. Hope that makes sense. But overall, highly recommended!

I bought this for the window in my garage. The sun beats down on this window always causing the garage to feel more like a sauna in the summer. I read the other reviews and thought I'd try it. As I was installing it, the temp outside was about 74 degrees, but when I was finished installing it- I could definitely feel the temp drop in the garage. Finally something that worked. I also like the fact that the light shines through, but you cannot see inside anymore. Note: there were some bubbles I had a hard time getting out- a squeegee helped a lot!

I ordered this to cover the windows in some French doors between the master bedroom and my office. I have curtains there now but thought this might be a cleaner look. It was pretty easy to measure, cut, and put up.My problem wasn't with the product but with the glazing compound on the windows. These doors are older and most modern windows don't have that issue. If I'd chosen the other side, the edges would lay flatter. And, it was difficult to trim the product (although it cut very easily) to "fit" the window because of the glazing. But, not the product's fault!My windows are small and most of the patterns I looked at were so big I didn't think they'd look good on these smaller windows (7" x 12") so I chose this more frosted glass look. And it looks just like the pictures in the listing but now that it's up, I think I want a "heavier" pattern as it's actually a bit too sheer.Again, not the product's fault in any way. You just need to consider size, pattern, placement, etc. when working with stuff like this.

Not easy to install and you need several tools. Exacto knife, squeegee, bottle with water and a straight edge. The difficult part was finding a straight edge that will fit your window. Also make sure you have extra width as you trim it down after installation. I ended up picking up a wall paper edger but it was too large. My husband installed on 3 garage windows and he said never again. The paper was difficult to cut even with a brand new exacto knife.

Followed the directions and had no problems installing the window film. I did have to use tape to peel from backing as suggested. Worked like a charm. I did not have the squeegee discussed in instruction so I used a stiff ID card and a metal ruler. I set up a 4 foot table to help and did it all by myself. Took about 45 minutes. It was a larger window. I think the quality is good and has the right amount of light coming through. I can’t say anything negative.

Ne tient pas, ne reste pas sur la vitre et lorsque vous réussissez à l’installer, la couleur change et ne devient plus transparent; mais bien pleins de bulles impossibles à enlever du au fait que cela n’adhère pas à la vitre. Tout simplement un gâchis de temps et d’argent!

Easy to cut. Sticks well. Only complaint on my end is the texture is a bit different than the picture. It hasn't fallen off and you can't see through it. Didn't need to leave any gap
